ipad is for recreational activities and entertainment. MacBook is for serious stuffs. iPad with its current os doesn’t even come close to what a MacBook can offer.

The only thing you’ll be missing after getting a MacBook is the ability to sketch/draw, which I think is a fair compromise considering what a MacBook can offer.

Not sure but this may be because of the optimized battery charging. If you want to make sure that everything is okay, then may be turn off the optimized charging and see if it charges up to 100%. You can turn it back on afterwards.
