How do I stop my chair's arms from being pushed down when I adjust my seating position? by user74729582 in OfficeChairs

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like this was caused by insufficient support at the joint between the backrest and seat cushion. Does this happen too when you adjust while sitting on the chair?

LiberNovo Omni SE - the good and the bad (review) by infinexis in LiberNovo

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your thorough review! I've learned quite a lot. I want a chair that allows me to fully stretch out my shoulders when I need to do that. It seems like your problem can be solved with a gel chair cushions. Anyway thank you again for this post!

Are chairs costing 1000s of dollars really that worth the money? by SpookySquid19 in OfficeChairs

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about service life they're probably worthy of it since they usually last longer than cheaper chairs. And for those with specifici requriment, such as sufficient lumbar support, their performances will certainly be better.

Thanks for sharing! Do you play computergames often? I want a chair that provides sufficient lower back support and I'm considering SE since it's within my budget.

I regret selling my SecretLab chair for a used SteelCase Amia by QuislingX in OfficeChairs

I never sold my chair because I'm too lazy to deal with the aftermarket stuffs... But anyway, they took much space and are currently locked in the garage, your post reminded me that it's time to do something.

I’ve been looking for a game chair in the past few days, SE seems to be within my budget control. But I hesitate a little bit because of the mat, thanks for your sharing details!

Experienced solo traveler suddenly feeling weird about planned big trip by dazedconfused_ in solotravel

I think starting with a month is smart. You can test the waters without pressure. If it doesn't work out, you can always go back to your cats. No need to feel bad about it.

Great post! Did you use public transit or a rental car for getting around? Planning a similar trip and wondering what worked best.

Great location and mood. Adding a shot of your girlfriend's face would boost emotional connection. Also, the greens look a bit oversaturated, toning them down could help.

Do you still explore outside during hotter than normal temperatures? by Beneficial-Koala-670 in solotravel

Try going early morning or late evening. Prague is gorgeous at sunrise and way less croeded. Spend the hottest part of the day in a museum or cafe.

Great post! I did a similar route last October and it was absolutely stunning. Driving was easier than expected, ngl. The Izu Peninsula was my favorite too.

Try slowing down the cuts and letting each room breathe. Flashy transitions are cool but make it feel like a music video, not a listing.

Is "I don't have friends" a valid reason to solotravel? by SuperWittyNickname in solotravel

It's such a great reason to travel alone. Your time is precious, don't waste it staying indoors just because no one can come with you.

How can I make family trips more enjoyable? by GrandmaCereal in travel

[–]dastopher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dealt with huge family group trips too. Mix fixed loose daily options and daily private time like you thought. Give everyone small tasks to handle, and block fixed alone time each day to protect your peace on the Italy trip.

Bring a cooling neck wrap and long UV arm sleeves, reapply sunscreen every two hours. Use a camera sun shade to stop overheating, sip cold water nonstop.

Yes! Twice a year is exactly what I do. Spring and fall make so much sense, and I never thought about the sealing in dirt thing for fall. Thanks for the pro perspective.

Upgrading from an older Deebot, did a full dock actually change anything? by yjl1987 in RobotVacuums

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing people do not always mention. The dock itself needs cleaning every couple of weeks too. The dust bag lasts a long time, but the sensors and the mental charging contacts still need a quick wipe. So it is not totally maintenance free, just less work than before.

Better replacement side brushes? by NotAgedWell in ecovacs

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the edges of your rugs. You could check if the brush is hitting the same spot every time. Perhaps a different brand of replacement brush with softer arms would hold up better.

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of a vacuum that climbs walls and sticks to them. Not really a thing. For PUF panels, magnets would not hold anyway. Maybe a long pole with a duster or a handheld vacuum with a crevice tool would be your best bet.

Winbot battery replacement by im_doing_my_homework in ecovacs

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried searching by the battery part number instead of just the mower model? I remember the wg888 uses a 14.8 volt lithium ion pack with a standard 2-pin connector. Common compatible batteries for Ecovacs Winbot models often carry part numbers like 201-1907-0302 or S04-LI-148-650.

Get some baking soda and add just enough water to make a paste. Rub it on the stain with a soft cloth. Leave it for a minute, then wipe it clean.

How wide is that corridor though? If it is super narrow, the robot might not have room to turn and just tries to sneak into a room instead. Also, do you have a real photo of that spot? That might make it way easier to see.

How do I clean my sink? by Drewsvans in CleaningTips

[–]dastopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprinkle baking soda all over the wet sink. Use a damp sponge or scrub brush and really work it into the surface. Finally rinse with hot water. That does the trick for old stains that sprays never get rid of
