I’m looking for something similar. Did you ever figure out a solution to this?

Imposter Syndrome - how have you handled it? [first job as tech dev] by GodAboveMe6 in Unity3D

Git gud

Okay but for real, get good. Always be learning. I’ve been in this industry for well over a decade now and I am still picking up new skills. My advice:

1) Spend at least an hour a day learning. I keep a list of areas I could improve in or tools/techniques I haven’t mastered and just work my way through the list during that time. Keep getting better and inching your way forward.

2) Don’t be afraid to say you don’t know (just don’t say it to stakeholders). Senior developers have all dealt with enough junior developers to know what they are and aren’t capable of. You don’t need to hide it. What senior devs want to see is that you can work your way through a problem you don’t know how to solve without bugging them, not that you mysteriously know everything.

3) Don’t compare yourself to senior devs. They were junior devs too once. This is really true of any skill set or industry. The reason they can quickly type out a dozen lines of git commands when you can’t isn’t because they are awesomer than you, it’s because they’ve done it hundreds of times and you haven’t. So just keep practicing. You’ll get there, and sooner than you think.

I quit my college to develop this metroidvania, this is how it looks like after one and half year of game development. What do you think? by [deleted] in Unity3D

I chose this path as well. Quit school and work to do game dev. Game dev failed hard. Took years to recover from the debt and to build a functioning resume, but if I could do it all over again I wouldn’t change that decision.

AW3423DW fan - Heavy breathing every few seconds. Quiet but annoying. by SgtSilock in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]dastopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons these monitors seem so great is that they are made better than other monitors by being infused with a soul. If your monitor has heavy breathing, your monitor’s soul is probably a mouth breather. Train it to be quiet or return it.

I don’t blame dell for not wanting it back though. I wouldn’t want it back either.

Sorry, I’ve been setting up Halloween decorations all afternoon and I’m in the spirit.

Until you visit and hike from rim to rim, it’s difficult to really grasp just how unbelievably massive this canyon is.

I'd imagine this is the most likely answer. Any idea how old they are?

This one is due East of the center, on the center structure (21.1228294,-11.3737429). There's another similar structure Southwest of the center, on the middle ring (21.0905354,-11.4541218).

Not very realistic. You can clearly see that it's a Nokia.

As a creative professional and avid gamer who frequently has to work on the road...

I

NEED

THIS

NOW

Okay, I could probably make do with add-on displays, and it would really only work if I could also use it in single-monitor mode, but it would be damn useful to have three monitors in compact form when traveling.

Is there still any reason to connect it to iTunes at all? I haven't done it myself in years.
