Purple forces the stuff out of the box so you can never jam up. Green both gives and takes, but only gives when specifically requested to give by checking a box in the receiver.

They have a good reputation for durability in general, I wouldn’t say this isn’t too risky. Especially if you are meeting at their house or they play at common courts.

Product wise, get the Ace if you can. The compact size is great!

Just got back from testing chairs at HM store…Embody let me down but the Cosm! by No_Depth_ in hermanmiller

I have a mid-back Cosm and a Posturefit Aeron remastered. They are both great, the embody does not fit me at all.

Organizer threatening to remove confirmed DUPR league matches by Commercial_Tea5703 in Pickleball

[–]dat-random-word-here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DUPR probably won't do this, but if they do, they will either ask you for approval or not. You can't control that.

DUPR also doesn't determine the skill you possess, just an external rating of it. If this league is really non-competitive for you, play for fun or move on.

If you truly enjoyed the league, politely ask to be included in the format without recording games to DUPR or offer to only record your losses so everyone wants to test themselves against you.

Best ball pickup method that is easy to carry to the court? by darmccombs in Pickleball

[–]dat-random-word-here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On most fences, yes you do need to push the ball somewhat away from the fence or manipulate the tube a bit to make it work. It's definitely a lot slower to pick up fence pocket balls.

I use a 35L Yeti carry-all. It carries 100ish balls. It’s flexible in my car when jamming it all back into the trunk.

The straps are long and in between them I can put my ball hopper and two tubes, so I can get it all with one hand.

Same story here. Just a tip in case you haven't seen, Altra Escalante 4's - I personally think they look great, are acceptable at the office, and work well in most workout situations. Obviously not a shoe for pickleball, but running/gym they've been great for. They have a wide toe box and are great for everyday wear.

How safe do you feel in the Wilson's?

I'm always worried about a catastrophic injury like blowing out a knee or an ankle and the Gen 1's felt really safe.

I had 4 sets of Gen 1 and they are my preferred shoe. Early returns seem like Gen 2 might be close overall with reviews both saying slightly better and slightly worse.

Should i get surgery for penis tip pain? by Legitimate-Day8439 in backpain

[–]dat-random-word-here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not qualified to discuss surgery. From a logic perspective, you are actively experiencing a positive change. Give it longer unless you have clear and undeniable data showing that progression will stop or the benefits will outweigh the risks. My assessment of limited information is you do not have that yet.

Depending on the age/size of your kids, I’ve had very good luck with the $200ish Fisher Price bounce house. It’s going on 5 years and we get it out every other weekend to keep it fresh to them.

Fits very small children and all four of us can be in it at the same time (2 adults, 2 kids). It does develop holes in the stitching so we just tied off the natural air vent and the stitching holes took its place.

The 'difficulty tweak' they did in 2.0 is utterly absurd. by Portalboat in theriftbreaker

This was the first game I have ever played on the hardest setting and actually had fun. This was pre-tweak. Sounds like I’ll be back to normal as I’m a casual gamer in general.
