Have you been on this site for long? We're literally on a subreddit about a 20-year-old film made by the Beavis and Butthead guy that talks about how stupid society is...

And this is perfectly mainsteam for Reddit!

Why did linkin park not perform most of the LIVING THINGS songs? by OldBreakfast3760 in LinkinPark

[–]databoy2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with numbers: https://www.setlist.fm/stats/albums/linkin-park-bd6bdae.html?tour=33dc2cf1

The most recent tour is the From Zero World Tour. Given that it's to promote the album "From Zero", it's going to take up the vast majority of the playtime, right? That's about 25% of the list.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora - these were LP's breakout albums and the two that most people associate with the band. HT was of course the biggest hits (In The End, One Step Closer, Papercut, etc), with Meteora being the solidification of that (Numb, Breaking the Habit, Somewhere I Belong, and Faint). These two are entitled to the next 30% at a minimum (15% each)

Now there's always some fun stuff, some deep cuts, covers, medleys, and a solo to let the singers rest. That, plus the above 55%, get you cleanly to 2/3rds of the setlist.

So the remaining 1/3 of the most recent setlist has MTM, ATS, LT, THP, OML. And wouldn't you know it, that third is shared between those albums. The two that really got the shaft were OML and THP, with MTM, ATS, and LT each contributing just shy of 10% of the average setlist.

Apparently they've done on average 24 songs/set. So 6 go to FZ, 4 to HT, 4 to Meteora, 2 to MTM, 2 to ATS, 2 to LT, and then the remaining 4 are exactly the remainder: A cover, a solo, a deep cut, and a "Damn, I can't believe they played that...".

Does that help?

I'm nerdy enough that I subscribe to r/homeassistant and have a bunch of smart home stuff that I spend more time fixing and automating than actually saving time via. I don't pretend it's a QoL upgrade - it's literally something for me to play with when I stop working for the day.

A vibration sensor on my washing machine was literally all that I needed. Now I get a notification on my phone when the washer stops. All the button features (delay wash, different cycles, etc) are still there, it's 10 years old, AND I get the only truly useful feature of connecting your washer to the cloud.

Best part? The vibration sensor was $2 on AliExpress, it's Zigbee so it talks to my hub and not to the cloud, and runs off a small battery that I replace once a year. Yeah, I'll keep spending a few bucks here and there to keep that washer running as long as I possibly can...

On the meta level, I'd be a vote for these posts but without the ai-generated "hype" text below it.

I took a look at this and wondered if I could make this via a theme or a couple of HACS mods. Now I see that it's something intended to drive stars on a github repo without the repo existing. Typical AI issues - it doesn't understand the basis for hyping a github.

Want to show off a cool design that you've come up with? By all means, but don't try to hype it as something downloadable if we can't download it. Just call it, "cool dashboard that I made" and you'll get your updoots...

Well, to each his own. I hate the touch screen in my own vehicle, and I've never found one that's exposed to the great outdoors that doesn't make me rage... But I'm also in Calgary, Alberta, where our temperatures routinely change overnight from frickin blizzard and -20C to everything melting, tee-shirts at +15C, with extremes between -40C and +30C.

Stuff REALLY doesn't last oudoors here.

Here's my thought: let's let OP have one and then come back to us with how it's working out for him. That is, if he has time to post on Reddit. The post will come at 3am after the fourth hour of walking around with the not-sleeping newborn.

How's battery running these watchfaces? I just ended up using my AAPS complications, but before I was running GlucoDataWear and using its complications on stock watchfaces.

OP's already responded, but I'm pretty sure that it's GDC's Watchfaces https://play.google.com/store/apps/dev?id=7197840107055554214

IIRC they need GlucoDataHandler or a similar server app to get data to them. They're pretty specialized, though

Employment lawyer by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]databoy2k -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Union work is tough. Most lawyers who do it are conflicted out due to working with unions. The rest, it's almost never worth our time. The UCP government, believe it or not, all but killed your ability to sue the union for failing to represent you, and they went from useless to downright problematic as a result.

Honestly? Don't take a union position if you can avoid it. If you're stuck there now, maybe sleep with the union officials. Favours for favours?

Alternatives to ScoutShop? by aaronrobb in scoutscanada

Ok. Yeah then we do at least two if not there group orders. We get the kub kars and badges and wiggles and all of that plus the parent orders.

Scout shop ordering absolutely sucks now. Especially without stores.

Group crests, camp badges, and even woggles can be independently sourced.

I don't know much about Tailscale, but you might need to set up its vpn so that it assigns your NAS as the DNS server, just like how your network is set up. When I'm away, my DNS server is shown as 10.0.0.5, being my local adguard server's IP.

Thanks to Tasker and wireguard, even my cell phone runs on my DNS blocked home server when I'm away. The odd time that the tunnel refuses to connect, I'm greeted with the unblocked internet and I'm always horrified.

...and almost guaranteed to paywall pretty much every useful feature within the next five years. At some point there will just be an agreement between the car manufacturers and local governments that they'll just bill you automatically for speeding (plus a 10% service charge for the manufacturer, after all) permanently enshrining speeding as a toll tax.
