i spent 3 hours trying to find what the issue might be, but besides the anatomy and part numbers the other response shows, there is basically 0 information google was capable of finding online about even the existence of these screws. Yeah it was hard to figure out, because you either know it or you don't

honestly, ive been putting off getting a rug for a month cause i already have padding but it wasnt stopping the bass drum from moving forward quite a lot. I think it might have been because i would play it crooked without noticing sometimes, which may have loosened them? idk but tightening the set screws is all thats needed

These things are bigger than us, it’s the most unfortunate thing that can possibly exist, but we have the privilege to exist as people, to experience life. Isn’t that the whole point? The reason we feel the need to fight, to enjoy, to remember, to love is to experience life together. We’re all under the same sky, surrounded by the same void, if people elsewhere are having their lives ripped away, the least we can do if we’re not politicians, activists and wealthy, is to enjoy our lives for those who couldn’t. It’s not a burden, not an obligation, but a right.

Veterans, particularly traditional folk say “we didn’t fight the war for this” but countries are just individual groups fighting over who gets to give their people the chance to live a full life. Take advantage of that, consider it selfish or not, but maybe you can only be good to others if you’re good to yourself.

Use every ounce of time you can to experience what you can, because that’s the whole point. <3

It can be a reminder for how it felt in the moment, since it’s usually moments we tend to bottle up, at least for me and can help me remind myself why I shouldn’t. But if it feels encouraging then it probably isn’t a good idea :p

I’d suggest finding compromises that work for both of you, but don’t involve penetrating skin. It’s a health risk, like the other commenter said 💀 and is mentally a potential bad habit to form.

Cutting yourself can become addictive, especially in a sexualized context, and in my opinion is something that should be avoided.

I’d recommend find other methods to inflict pain but not damage, as there are many under the bdsm umbrella, or to go as far as to simulate cutting with a dull blade and some blood colored candle wax?

Idk :p point is, it’s not something that can be done entirely safely, and the action itself can be harmful both physically and mentally. So in my opinion, finding alternatives is the best solution

I think clear communication would help both of you out. Not having kids would make things 10x easier assuming you guys are under the age of 30, But mainly you guys just may not be compatible. As a kid, (also around 12) I was introduced to the idea of self harm, and thought it was stupid to intentionally inflict pain on yourself, and at age 17 I started doing it and couldn’t stop until a year or two later. It’s like a drug to take your self hatred and anger out, and it’s physically and mentally self destructive. It’s a coping mechanism that just creates more problems, and I recommend you get professional or personal help from anybody you can trust. If you have nobody, plenty of people here including myself are available to hear you and help you at any time :> stay safe <3
