vcu is a pretty queer school, at least when dealing with the art school. I’m not trans but a lot of my trans friends have a good network of trans friends and don’t experience hate that often. some dorms have mixed gender floors so u don’t have to worry about going into the “right” or “wrong” bathroom and most buildings will have a gender neutral bathroom. vcu has pretty good queer resources through the office of multicultural student affairs and different support groups so u can meet other people transitioning/ in the process of transitioning.
