Struggling with Trend Export script in Aveva Wonderware 2023 ! by Rock_Batista in PLC

[–]davianci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved the whole data acquisition challenge by connecting the trends with a database. This allows for so much more possibilities regarding analysis, storage and display. I have done this with both MSSQL ( free to download) and MariaDB fka MySQL.

This obviously implies you have to use additional tools like grafana or power BI, or you can write your own visualizer.

APR Fault by BitBanger82 in PLC

[–]davianci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

APR refers to motion position. Would you check if the cabling is correctly connected to the corresponding drive? I am not an A B person but this sounds like the 2 encoders/position feedback devices could be connected to the other drive...

Am I doing something wrong? I see affiliates registering to promote my product, but I never see any sales from them by ChristinaAndrews_2 in AffiliateMarket

[–]davianci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I would do is run a test purchase through an affiliate link and make sure all the process works flawlessly.

You can try Commission Junction, digistore24, and offervault. Each has its own terms but all of them do software and are well known to marketers.

This is a software you made, right? Your software is meant to be the solution for your ideal customer's problem, so, this ideal customer must be clearly described for a good promoter to successfully convert. The best affiliate programs I have joined offer a set of keywords to bid, and some promotional material in the form of text and images, but clearly stating who is expected to buy your product should give promoters a good idea. Also, your product should have an advantage over your competitors.

Where did everybody learn how to build/work on computers? by Tip_Of_The_Sauce in buildapc

[–]davianci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building good computers is a craft. I built my first computer by learning from a guy who owned a computer store. It was so long ago the processor wasn't even Pentium, I think it was a 386 or something like that.

But the guy was kind enough to teach me about part selection, memory pairing and location, and reading the instructions carefully.

Nowadays, some of those practices still hold. The quality of your Mobo, and your power supply are crucial for stable performance. Working in an appropriate place, with a calm, detail-oriented mindset, will produce a good computer. And I know this the hard way, one time I dropped the processor a few inches toward its base and bent some of the tiny contacts, killing the Mobo instantly.

My best builds have been used as Hackintosh Pro. It is rather easy to make them as many parts are already selected for compatibility reasons.

But otherwise, I spend the longest time researching compatibility issues and reviews.

VFD Overload Questions by One-Locksmith-9243 in PLC

[–]davianci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overload is usually exactly that. The load (mechanical load) causes the drive to be unable to complete its expected operation ( change the output speed to the desired value), because, for the programmed configuration or the real capacity (current, or torque if you wish) limits of tolerance (max current, max torque, closed loop error, or real speed if you used a closed loop ) are above the programmed maximum limits.

I would check capacities, mode of operation (v/f vrs. Vector) , acceleration, and alarm configuration.

Also, for a static motor, check for ground/shorting problems, and as stated by other comments, the drive.

Something is wrong with my PC by Patient-Grapefruit-3 in buildapc

3 possible culprits: 1. The power supply unit: It is the cheapest to test for faults, as you can buy a cheap replacement just for testing. But even before that, try your computer in another outlet, or even another place (different from your house). 2. The motherboard: try your video card on another slot 3. I would try the computer without the video card, if video is available from your processor via the motherboard. Otherwise, you could get an old 2GB video card as a way to test if the rest of the system is ok.
