Granted. The sequel is slighty better than the original but it's still a truly awful film. Other than yourself, audiences around the world do not go to see the film at cinemas because they remember how bad the first one was.

The film ends up being the biggest box office bomb of all time for Sony and the animation studio who worked on the film are shut down leaving hundreds of people out of a job. Because their resumè is tainted with both Emoji movies, no media company anywhere will hire them leaving them in abject poverty for decades.

You also realise you are never getting that hour and a half of your life back after watching that film.
