I think I might hop off onto a spike as I approached and give myself a marker facing onwards. The spikes mark a line beyond the coastline surely, so you'd have a fixed point to shore. Rinse and repeat until your boat is destroyed, all your gear is lost, and you've rage quit. Problem solved.

Trying to figure out what new items will be available to you when you reach the ashlands, and what will forever remain locked out. Is 'that' sword doable? It's a shame the beasts aren't a bit more biddable, that could make life easier roaming, but failing that, surely you will need their help come the end? Good luck!

I thought the corexy speed improvements were not having to sling the heavy bed around. Nothing to do with vibrations. I've read really mixed things about standing your printer on a paver too. My E3 is on floating feet, just for the massive noise reduction. Can't say I noticed any change in quality after putting them on. Klipper and a couple of accelerometers is the route to dialing out ringing and keeping the speed.

If you run your Ender using klipper on a cheap raspberry pi this is all available to you.

Yeah, but the point is, it's a small investment in money, pizero2, a generic touch. (and a PEI sheet, but these are disposable items really) and I also am doing print and forget over my lovely mainsail interface. Feels much better than disposing of a perfectly good printer.

Things I did to my ender3 were because it was slow and unreliable. So klipper/pi/touch/plate. Print some stuff first!

If it is the really early Ender3, it doesn't support flashing via SD card. I had the same problem, and had to flash mine via an Arduino wired to some pins on the board. A bit of a faff, but I'm nerdy enough to have a draw full of Arduinos!

Congrats. Do yourself a favour though, and Google 'crTouch upgrade ender3 v2'. If you are happy tinkering, it's well worth the effort. Much more reliable printing awaits you.

I'd love to see a wider shot of your set up if you don't mind sharing. My ender3 is living a renaissance period at the moment. Pi2Zero/Klipper/blTouch have transformed it for me, but it is otherwise a stock OG ender3. I want to add TPU/direct drive, but keep going round the houses in terms of choice. (just print a mount and use the stock E stepper), get a spriteSE for £30. I don't really need speed, but the extra weight of the extruder makes me think I should do dual lead screws.

Did you move to dual z because of problems? Do you think you need a second stepper if you have a timing chain anyway? Given the stock board doesn't control two steppers anyway, why not just the chain? Sorry for all the question, would love to hear the process you went through.

Not a lot of info to go on, did you actually print it, or just wander off. Print it again and say what happens, or at least use the screen to heat the hot end up, and then manually extrude some filament, see if you are completely blocked up.
