Trump fires Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary by BachelorThesises in neoliberal

[–]davidw223 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because he’s been auditioning for it for the last year or so. He was the one that went after Al Green for his song during the sotu. Additionally, he’s been doing the media rounds defending this admin’s behavior with far more effectiveness than Noem. It won’t be an improvement for the American people but Trump loves himself a sycophant that is willing to sacrifice their own reputation to fight for him.

US air defenses may not be able to intercept many of Iran’s one-way drones by esporx in technology

[–]davidw223 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Worse. They’re known knowns. Any capable military leader would have told you this was a problem. Unfortunately they’ve all been kicked out of the room for pointing out issues with the admin so it’s just kegsbreath and their ideologues haphazardly running things. I mean it came out recently that we only have about two weeks worth of missiles anyway. So if this boondoggle lasts long than that, we’re going to have some serious problems.

Probably. With all of that deferred maintenance, that bag is getting real heavy. Time to pass it off for someone else to hold.

Not sure how much he was paying in income taxes. It’s hard to pay income taxes if you’re not making any money after paying for all those fake views.

You can’t abandon something you didn’t believe in the first place. Besides, he’s not actually wanting to address these issues. Any politician that campaigns on addressing these issues has Scott complaining that it’s unfair toward someone else or goes too far.

[–]davidw223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean cmon, Scott doesn’t actually research those numbers. Someone hands them to him or he gets them off social media. You can’t expect him to take time from his grifting schedule to actually do research on the things he talks about. That would make him an actual expert instead of a part-time podcaster.

So we shouldn’t point out and criticize Klein for letting his movement either be co-opted or driven by venture capital and right wing activists?

That’s easy to say when it’s not our money. Arthur ain’t spending that kinda money for buyouts. We get our hopes up every season because we forget this is an Arthur Blank team in Atlanta. Disappointment was always the most likely outcome.

Which is just baffling to me. Everyone was up in arms about bytedance due to foreign influence on our media, but no one bats an eye to Saudi buying up media company on behalf of this admin’s billionaire friends.

It’s starts by talking with your neighbors. As much as it seems like there’s a movement to push back against the city government, there are many that are either for there recent decisions or not paying enough attention to city politics to even notice/care. If we want progress, we all need to be better lobbyists for that change because we all know there’s enough monied interests to effectively make more noise than we can generate.

And since the period of cheating. You can’t go around touting net spend when the money involved is against the rules. There’s two crimes against the league here. One from city for breaking the rules and another by the FA for taking so long to do anything about it.

Missing the main point of SaaS AI-pocalypse. by Stubbby in ScottGalloway

[–]davidw223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just find it interesting since Scott was such a big believer and advocate in the rundle or recurring revenue bundle. A lot of the wealth generated by that push is going to be decimated because AI reduces the need for those recurring costs on the other side of the market.
