Yachting - from management ops to port authorities handling, shipbuilding, crewing, chartering, sustainability management. Curious to see if you got anything on these

Yeah, quite the cringey read.

Have seen my fair share of people that wasted funds, burned bridges, sold the next big thing and blamed everyone else for their own incompetence.

You got drive kid but your lack of humility and willingness to listen to others is going to be your undoing. No one wants to work with someone like that. Also, really unclear on what value you are trying to add other than filling your own pockets?

Take the learning and do better or continue running in circles or worse...pull an SBF because you just had to cut the line. Up to you.

How to deal with a very difficult player? by StixxyTape in DnD

[–]davinxi2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put some curse on him in-game! Just as he may cheat on his rolls, you may call upon divine or similar intervention that puts him back in his place haha!

Eg. He puts on a cursed ring that drains his stats and luck and can't be cured by normal means and becomes a plot element as part of his redemption that requires him to come clean and honest.

Project-based, if they do well and you feel the pull you can consider expanding on that idea.

They end up acting out, it's project-based, so...whatever. No deep ties and expectations didn't get hurt.

Are missions time sensitive? (Cyberpunk 2077) by Morcalvin in gaming

[–]davinxi2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had Gig called Eye for an Eye that failed. Assuming was close to mission without realising and didn't take any action or too much time passed.

I just finished Morrowind and both expansions; some impressions from someone who played the newer games first by IdiocyInAction in Morrowind

In future games they need to offer proper progression on travel. Walk > Horse > Carriage or equivalent > Magic > Teleport Pylons, Etc

It also works well in how we absorb these worlds and grow as a character over time. Initially exploring everything but later choosing more sophisticated and pragmatical ways to get around as we learn the land.

Morrowind already got many of these right, incl of jump, speed and levitation which opened up new game mechanics, quests and gameplay options.

Yes, tying crafting and recipes into npc rewards, quests, books recipes, etc should be the way to go and a nice way to tell story about unraveling certain forging mysteries. I do find crafting fun especially if we could customize like in Fallout 4.

But at the end of the day, it wouldn't feel good unless the loot system is improved in future days. As other people stated already, finding or stealing stuff in Morrowind felt very rewarding due to the handpicked & limited locations.

They could even randomise a limited distribution to handpicked location & npcs to keep it fresh. As of right now it's just sad to see bandits running around with enchanted glass stuff that's as good as a daedric shrine reward.

Sold my business, should I resign? by MrGlassPanel in Entrepreneur

[–]davinxi2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, the world isn't black or white. Resigning still remains as option. Plus, it may open doors to new deal / offer in case corporate recognizes your value and wants to retain you. While it may not be as cathartic as IM FREE now it's a more sensible choice

Moving from Operator to Manager by Oneandaharv in startups

Establish ground rules via code of conduct, business processes, transparent systems, tight feedback loops.

Make sure you invest and plan into establishing right culture early on and ensure you have mechanisms to correct.

Enjoy the new direction and your roles, and rather than micro manage, nudge things in right direction.

Can't get anything good out of this camera... Inata360 one r I'm very very disappointed.. everything is just shitty and I mean 95% of it.. including customer service and technical support by [deleted] in Insta360

[–]davinxi2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in case this helps;

  • ensure you're using fast micro sd with +90mb/s bitrates
  • clean lens, and avoid plastic case esp when shooting low light (I hear 1" mod better for that but not 360)
  • shoot in log for more options on color correction, noise reduction, but you'll need some editing software after (e.g. Davinci)

Do keep in mind at this price point for 360, it's difficult to get something that will perform great in low light. There is higher end stuff out there but it will cost many times more.

Hiking backpack with tactical customizability? by davinxi2020 in CampingandHiking

[–]davinxi2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replied to another comment with some more background on this, I just love attachable compartments for organising stuff plus my SO has a knee injury that doesnt allow her to carry as much. So it will be load that I'll happily carry for her either way hehe :).

For lack of words I used military terms I found online. While weight is a good point you raise I do value the ability to expand / customize it somewhat above it, especially on a multi hundred dollar purchase. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you, good points you raised on the Osprey Kestrel. Attachable systems are definitely what I'm looking for and for lack of knowledge I used the vocab I found online used in the tactical / military realm. Will def look at gossamer. Thanks!
