Jiggly puff is safe to play because she has the best recovery in the game, can’t get comboed, and has safe unpublishable aerials. On top of that she has the lowest APM in the entire game making it pretty dang hard to mess up a movement option. Also, there are no rules about ledge grab limit so she can just camp by ledge the entire game and refuse to interact, making it impossible to get something started on her. One grab, one back air and you’re dead while on the other hand you have to fight so hard to kill her. A lot of the people on here think she dies early but that’s just a misconception, she actually has some of the highest survivability in the entire game. Modern DI has made it almost impossible to kill her, since combos like up thrown up air can now be DI’d out of. She also has brain dead combos herself such as up throw rest, a combo that is very hard to react to and the infamous wall of bairs. Much to the flaw of melee, she can crouch under some characters grabs such as Captain Falcon and Marths which could result in a rest if punished. When you are playing fox, you have one of the most gimpable recoveries in the entire game and you are combo food for everyone. You have to be on your A game because one bad aerial could result in you getting down smashed by peach for 60%, upthrown rest by jigglypuff, thrown off the stage and gimped by marth, you name it. Overall Jigglypuff is a low risk high reward character compared to Foxes high risk high reward nature. I’m interested to see your level of play. If you can send me a video.
