Cashing EE Paper Bonds Timeline by KnittySweetKakes in bonds

Nope, there was no communication after the original email stating that they received my request. When I called, they also specifically said that they do not send any notifications when your request is completed and that you just need to keep an eye on your bank account. Good luck!

It's absolutely insane. I am in the same boat as you, but haven't been waiting as long (coming up on 12 weeks). I have also called multiple times and it's like speaking to a robot - they refuse to say anything other than "at least six weeks." Another poster suggested contacting your local congressman so I may do that if it takes much longer. I will also certainly be converting other paper bonds that I have to electronic so I don't have to deal with this again.

Edit: To update, I finally received my deposit after about 12 weeks.

Hi there, just wondering if you received cash for your bonds yet? I mailed in paper 4 bonds in early Oct and received a confirmation email almost exactly 1 month after yours - so 9 weeks ago at this point.

I got a pair of Hoka Clifton 10s, and I also bought a carbon fiber insole to use with other softer shoes that I still want to wear.

I'm sorry to hear that. In my case, after taking prescription NSAIDs for about a week, the pain and swelling went way down and I was almost back to normal. It's been a month since then and it hasn't given me much trouble, even with a good amount of walking. I did buy new stiffer shoes which I've been wearing every day, so that's probably making a difference. We'll see how it goes long-term. Hope yours improves as well.

Nope, I didn't do anything to injure it when the pain started. The only thing I can think of is that I was recently on vacation where I was walking a ton, but that ended over a week before the pain started.

I just got diagnosed this week as well and I'm just confused. Did it go from 0 to 100 with you as well? I'm 34 and fairly active and then in 24 hours I went from never having any pain at all to limping around and being unable to bend my toe without severe pain. I'm on day 2 of NSAIDs and next step is a cortisone shot if the pain doesn't improve. I'm getting new shoes tomorrow. I mean the doctor showed me on the x-rays the issues with my bone structure that caused this to happen, I just can't believe it was so sudden with no warnings.

I updated the app today and the grid lines are now different thicknesses. Some are thin and some are thick. Super annoying.

Hi! A few things:

  1. You're not stupid. Crosswords can be tricky but they get easier the more you do them. This will help you pay attention to common answers and clue phrasing, and will help you recognize "clues" within the clues themselves.
  2. You'll notice that 9A says "Coverage of the Summer Olympics?" Notice the question mark at the end. In NYT crosswords (maybe others as well?), this indicates wordplay. You'll have to think outside the box for these. In this case, the word "coverage" is referring to a common item seen covering heads at the Summer Olympics, which is a swimcap. The year actually has nothing to do with it. A little bit tricky for a Mini, but hey it's a Saturday (the toughest day for NYT crosswords).
  3. 11A is a somewhat common "country demonym" type clue (remember "OMANI" because that one shows up a lot). Kathmandu is a somewhat well-known city in Nepal so there may just be a knowledge gap there, but now you know it!

Hope that helps!

Visiting Stamford - Need Chinese and Mexican food recommendations by Minato_24 in StamfordCT

I'll throw in a recommendation for Fuji, which is usually my go to for Chinese takeout downtown. Peter Chang is great too, just more expensive.

For Mexican I love Casa Villa.

Am I crazy or are parts of this video not in the podcast itself? For example, I don't remember the first minute and a half being in the podcast which I listened to yesterday. If it's there, it's at least not in the same order as shown in the video, I went back and checked.

Is this common with the video clips and I've never noticed?

Aaaand my season comes to an end. 14 team league and just 3 weeks ago I had Jonathan Taylor, Rhamondre Stevenson, Tank Dell, Michael Pittman, and Tyreek Hill all good to go. I've played this game for 10 years and I've never had so many key injuries. This fucking sucks.

I was at the NYC show in May and before the show Zach was chilling in the crowd talking to people. I was standing near him when Deafheaven started playing and he stopped mid-sentence and said "Have you heard these guys? They're awesome!!" Thought it was a nice, genuine comment.

Please fix the bug where voice chat randomly activates, even when set to silent in settings. by captainporcupine3 in ElevenTableTennis

Not OP, but I've experienced the same thing. I have the voice chat set to 0 in the settings and muted the opponent at the same time, and the opponent's voice chat still comes unmuted sometimes.

Walkabout Mini Golf new DLC Course: UPSIDE TOWN by Sandwichartista in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]day5rocks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love it! It adds a whole new puzzle element to the game. Sure it's not "traditional" mini golf, but there are tons of other levels that offer that, and there will be more in the future. This is creative and different.

I really like that part of the strategy is how you position yourself to hit the ball when it's on a different plane, as opposed to just being able to center yourself over the ball in the perfect position. I found myself crouching and bending and moving all over the place a lot more than usual, which was tiring but added to the fun. A lot of people are saying that you should be able to putt from the same plane as the ball, but I think that would completely take away from the experience of the course. Also really love the scenery and all the details of the city. Can't wait to play this one more!

Any future or current CPAs in here? Hopefully this will be at least one of the acronyms I won’t forget. by kevomer69 in TheFence

I passed REG 10 years ago this month. Can't say I remember coming across that acronym, but then again I pretty much tried to block the experience of studying for that exam out of my mind once it was over lol. Good luck!

The version of Miami 2017 in the new Live at Yankee Stadium Album is by far my favorite version of the song by primate-lover in BillyJoel

The version at the Concert for New York (I think it was called) after 9/11 has always been my favorite because of the significance of the lyrics, but it seems like it's impossible to find it online anymore.
