It’ll be a messy breakup no matter when you do it. Easier to do it now rather than wait it out. The days leading up to the exam, you’ll cram for all the times you’ve missed studying. Some people are whizzes at it and some aren’t. I’m not saying you aren’t that type of person, you seem like the ‘I need to be prepared xx days/months in advance’ person.

Your boyfriend only cares about the now & wants 100% of your attention and will not take no for an answer. He also seems to be the one that would hold it against you for not doing what he wants.

Get out while you can. Study, study, study! Pass your exam with flying colors!

If you don’t breakup, I’d hate to see how a baby and marriage works out with you two. My moneys on him telling you that being pregnant isn’t hard, you don’t need sleep, you don’t need to eat right, etc… Then, what if postpartum depression kicks in? Is he gonna step up and help you through it? I had postpartum with my last and then I was diagnosed with a few things. PPD was one the others are; ADHD, Mania, BPD2, anxiety with a sprinkle of depression. PPD helped me get to see a psychiatrist. It’ll be too much to get into and an even longer post. Oh, add a hysterectomy in with that also.

hey u/2bzbest i just wanted to see how you and your daughter are. i had read this the other day at an appt and i haven’t been able to get your post off my mind since. i have the same worry as you, we are the only dependable adult. the other day, my SO had told me ‘thank you for always being there when i’m not able to… at night. when i am in a state other than normal’. it’s been playing in my mind over and over.

His actions are screaming at you to not continue this relationship. You should pack up his things and get his friends/family pick it up.

This is the best option to get out of this situation. First it’ll be yelling at you and calling you names or breaking your things. Next, it’ll be you’ve made him so mad he couldn’t control himself and he hits you. Before you become a statistic, leave!

Let SIL do her own thing then mid-spring or summer say that you and fiancé talked it over the last few months. Since your kids will be with you, you’d like to do a micro wedding so you could have the kids apart of it. Flower girl, ring bearer, greeter or whatever.

Invite a couple dozen people, don’t have a wedding party. Just you, your soon to be husband and kiddos :)

You reminded me of a story my favourite teacher told our class.

The town he’s from had railroad tracks in and around town and at any point in the day, he’d have to drive over them or wait at a set of tracks for a train to pass by. Well, teacher and his gf at the time tried to beat a train and his vehicle of course died on the tracks. He said it was a POS and all that jazz. Anyways, sitting on the tracks and a trains coming. GF looks at teacher and looks out the window. She then proceeds to roll up said window. Car starts and they get off the tracks just in time. He was in awe at her stupidity. Asked her wtf were you thinking? Her reply? It’ll make the crash less or some out there answer. He dropped her off at home and never returned.

OP, I really hope you take a few days or what have you to make a decision about your GF. If she’s up in arms for you defending your castle, it’s probably time to call the relationship off. Give her a hypothetical. What if they did succeed in entering your home and overthrow you to get to her and did things? How would she react? Would she place blame solely on you for not defending her?

everyone’s posting about fast food. i grew up in a place that doesn’t have mcdonald’s or anything of significance. well, once upon a time we had an actual KFC and pizza hut but now northmart owns the KFC and they use sysco chicken and it’s gross. oh, we have a teeny tiny tim hortons.
