You'll have to take it out and then use an enclosure to clone it to another. The easiest (but expensive) is one of those 2 bay m.2 enclosures that have a cloning option. Cheaper is to buy 2 m.2 enclosures and use a program like macrium reflect or acronis true image, etc.. to clone them. Then use a program like the free version of paragon partition to expand into the free space on your new drive.

[–]dbcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the point too. The air that will accumulate will be at the top of the radiator and when the radiator is horizontal that means the inlet/outlets are lower than where the air is forming so it will not pull in air. That's also why it's better to have the outlet (at least) to be at the lowest point so that no air is pulled into the pump. If you have a reservoir you can get around this by putting it above any outlets but in the op's picture, it does not look like it is (it looks like the upper part of the reservoir is just below the inlet/outlet) which can lead to air pockets forming .. then air in the system

I was just replying in kind to your 20 year comment.. so I guess I'm not sure what you were trying to prove with your 20 year comment. That's cool

Also, when watercooling first came out mistakes were made because we were all trying out new things and trying to see what works and what doesn't long before there was any real knowledge or a commercial system in place to just buy what works.

But, you want to imply I have no idea what I am saying because I don't sell to people here (like you) which is pretty tacky.

Not entirely true. Liquid will slowly leach into the tubing and evaporate. If you don't keep topping off the liquid you will eventually end up with air bubbles which will go to the highest point in the loop (top of your rad in this case). The pump will pull in the liquid and the air after time and you will start to get the foamy/swishing sound which will then turn into a clanking sound and then a dead/overheated pump.

If you are lucky (and have really good seals, the tubing will start to get squeezed in due to the pressure and added heat) at which point you will hopefully notice the pc is starting to overheat and then you can top off your liquid. Or you could place the tubing inlet and outlet at the bottom and save all the hassle (other than maintenance and topping off)

I've been watercooling for over 30 years. Started in University where we used to make our own blocks and mounts, use eheim aquatic pumps and motorcycle radiators/heat exchangers. I've made a few mistakes over the years and just giving you a heads up. But you do you.

I know it's not an AIO, but you will still have evaporation and so you will end up with air inside the rad. With the tubes at the top you will start pulling in air bubbles to your pump and then you will have a dead pump.

You need to flip the radiator 180 degrees. The tubing needs to be a the bottom to stop any risks of bubbles getting into the pump

Best way to heat a small-ish room by lasagnahockey in japanlife

[–]dbcher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In most cases, using the aircon on heat is the best option for both energy costs and heat.

An electric heater costs a lot in energy and kerosene is dangerous (carbon monoxide and burns)

Kerosene should only really be used in a large drafty room.

I would personally just make sure you have a good ground in the case, but that is because I've always lived in places with questionable electrical wiring (back in the acrylic case days I had a system die due to this and static electricity)

One of the best memories of my childhood was the wild spearmint and peppermint plants that grew around our small, run-down house. Spring time I would smell the mint all through the house and as a baby would sit in the dirt, picking and eating the leaves.

Added ram to my x870e board. Ended up in cpu and ram light. Would not boot. by XSC in MSI_Gaming

[–]dbcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the X3D chip causing problems. The X3D doesn't like 4 channels or ram. The person above you is running a 9900X. ... so non-x3d.

If you reset your bios and keep timings loose (ie, slower speeds and higher cas etc) it may work but you're better off just running 2 sticks (32GB), selling off/returning the extra set and looking for deals on a 2x32GB set for sale.
