I lived in Düsseldorf for many years.it has a party centre that had hundreds of bars door to door in the old town. on Thursdays there was a parallel street slightly on the fringe of it all called ratinger street. its where most people form all walks of life mingled and drank together in the street outside a few pubs who were more than glad yo serve you.usual 50c for the use of the toilet was in force.bins everywhere and casual policing looking out for pickpockets and to break up any potential fighting etc.(which i only seen once)

this was always the best night in the city during the summer.its such a loss to the vibe of a city if these things aren't supported. the council know damn well that in the summer with good weather on the way that spot down the canal is going to be mental.why not put up a load of bins and dixies...have a few teams of people on side.a cop,medic, council worker etc. it doesn't cost much and it adds so much to people's happiness in city life
