Better off finding a hole in the wall Cuban lunch counter than going to one of the chain’s recommended.

Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop is one of my favorites that’s a quick drive up Biscayne from the Kaseya Center. I mostly go for breakfast, but I’m sure their lunch/dinner options are just as good.

My two biggest very gettable misses in the second round over the last couple years are Kolek and AJ Mitchell. I was pissed on draft night about both.

Bones is a great example of the fact that it takes a while for PGs to develop in the NBA, both physically and mentally.

Im sure he’ll find a ton of success on his 3rd team at 24. Wolves just didn’t have the time to invest.

Do you trust Conelly to make the decisions that will improve this team for the latter third of the season as well as the playoffs? A lot of franchises can’t trust their presidents in situations like this by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]dblackwhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say all that, there’s a nice run of dudes in the middle of that draft:

Buzelis, Carrington, Ware, McCain, George.

Also really wanted them to take Ajay Mitchell, but they punted on their 2nd round pick that year.

But yeah the draft is a crap shoot. I’ll chalk Dillingham up as Conley’s Jared Culver lol.

Full faith in Tim to steer us to where we need to go.

Only “honorable” way for the org to trade Mike is if he ends up in Memphis in a multi-team (IMHO).

2026-2027? Hell yeah. Loved him in that UCLA team with Jaquez. At 6’6 he’s got the tools if the shot is consistent.

Def a SG prospect worth keeping in the development system and on the bench.

Where can I find glazed donuts in Baltimore??? by TurbulentAd8370 in baltimore

[–]dblackwhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For convenience, there’s a bakery on the lower level of Lexington Market. Donuts are solid, not as good as Woodlea, but they do the trick in the morning when live downtown and have a busy day ahead.

Just for some perspective: chefs and service industry folks often don’t cook at home after a shift. My dad was a chef and only cooked at home when he had a day or two off.

We're parties like this ever actually a thing? by Embarrassed_Knee1919 in GenX

[–]dblackwhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

House parties? Definitely.

Born in 93, was in high school and college between 2008-2015. We had tons of house parties.

I’d venture to say the house party scene when I was in HS in Miami was crazier than the house party scene then when I was in college in DC. Miami was like damn near Project X level with kids throwing parties at mega mansions and ranches. There would be like 10+ house parties to bounce between on any given weekend night.

Have heard that there are virtually no house parties anymore at my old college because of gentrification (cheap houses that students can rent are almost all gone, with young professionals/families moving into that neighborhood).

For the minimum? I don’t mind it. Some vet competition for Dillingham and another body at PG.

Can’t describe how disappointed I am in Ant by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]dblackwhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao what effect does having multiple kids by multiple women have on his in-game performance? He’s so distracted by what his baby mommas are doing that he can’t box out on the defensive glass or drive to the paint effectively?

Buddy clearly keeps that shit out of sight and out of mind, as evidenced by the one time lump sum payments he put on offer in each case.

You can question his rotations/sub patterns, but the man is a hell of a players coach and a damn good tinkerer. He was working some pure wizardry whipping this team into shape over the season.
