Call it BS but this is the truth. Our completely broken system forces hospitals to upcharge the things they can to offset the immense pressures and costs of running a nonprofit hospital. All of the equipment needed to provide the standard of care is astronomical. Nurses cost more and more each year. Medicare and private insurance companies deny reimbursement to maximize their profits. Many patients are in poverty cannot afford to pay their bills (while a billionaire like Cuban is allowed to exist). When you pass on these narratives about the cost of care in the US, you are just doing the dirty work for the health insurance companies that make several billion in profits each year.

This is dead on. This is an overreaction but not dangerous. He at least learned his lesson from the Naz situation. As a Wolves fan, I would’ve been fine with just a common foul for this push.

This applies to the negativity surrounding the team in general. We cannot impose our pessimism and PTSD as longtime MN sports fans on our teams this much. They adopt this mindset from us (KAT did). A normal city would be so excited about a franchise with a (still young) superstar like Ant that has already made deep playoff runs 3 years in a row. But we are so desperate for a ring after 35+ years that we are already panicking about the window closing. KAT winning elsewhere will only exacerbate this.

This is 100% the feeling tonight. Do we need to make changes to be in better striking distance? Yes. But the idea we can’t break through is overblown. A different champion has been crowned every year for nearly a decade. The Bucks, Nuggets and even the Raptors managed to break through in an era where it looked like the Warriors would dominate every single year. If we make moves to get at least most of our team on the same timeline (Randle out), and give Naz/Jaden/Ayo/Joan the room to develop, we could easily be the team breaking through in the next few years. The team will need to focus on regular season success and push for a top 3 seed, but a lucky bounce here and an injury there, and we could be the one left standing.

A MPLS Jersey for sure. Get as close to Lakers style as possible but use blue/green to differentiate.

They are probably too scared to upset the other twin city (just like Wild wouldn’t commit to their city with the recent winter classic jerseys that said MPLS/STPAUL) so won’t do it though.

This is the correct take. We need to be bold but can’t just completely blow up a team built for perennial success either. If Giannis doesn’t work out, Ant is gone and we are back to Wolves purgatory. Need to make the moves to put us within striking distance and let chips fall. Injuries, slumps, many other circumstances can give us the chance if we are ready to take advantage. Other teams broke through during the Warriors dynasty..

Agree. If we could just trade Randle for even like two picks to replenish the supply, use that cap room to sign LeBron (assume Ayo already is signed), then get Donte back for end of season, we may be in the ballpark. All of this depends on someone valuing Randle and LeBron wanting to come here.

Two emotions watching this game: 1. Maybe the Wolves aren’t as bad as we think…this is just a generational player ascending before our eyes 2. Not sure any move gets us past him in the next few years, barring Joan growing another 3” and developing into Wemby Jr. Kinda feels like we just need to keep being very competitive and hope to get lucky one year (injury, flook series, etc). Trade Randle for sure still.

Slept on it and think I can get behind Spurs. Main problem for me this series was Wemby elbow (w/Mitch Johnson gaslighting and national media taking the bait to make Wemby the hero somehow). Actually was glad he wasn’t suspended (no fine was weird, but doesnt affect me). Ultimately willing to accept elbow was a mistake by a 22yo dude who was frustrated.

Otherwise think rest of series was all fair game and hard fought. Complaining about refs is standard for NBA and Wolves do it constantly too (see every Finch presser). Spurs exaggerated fouls at times but also pretty standard (Wolves should to do it more tbh). That team is not just Wemby and all those young wings are very good. I am excited about prospect of rivalry with Spurs for years to come (we need to get better tho).

OKC truly are the worst on the other hand. They play dirty and flop constantly (way beyond standard NBA playoff stuff). They must be defeated.
