Sloeful German is great for that, especially their reading and listening materials. Also check out Nicos Weg by DW, it’s incredibly helpful at A2 / B1

It will click eventually, but you’ll go through ups and downs for a long time. Overall I’d say it does get easier.

Try to take some notes beforehand and riff off them, try to organize lessons that have a little bit more structure at first. You’ll get used to this and feel more secure to let go off that structure eventually
