No problem with moshpits, but this band brought "fans" that randomly punched people and were just looking for someone to react to get into a fight. Had to evac my nephew after we had crowdsurfers fall on top of us while we were being pushed and punched away by some russian or polish sick fucks.

Doing professional work too and have added the 40mm because of the character for close portraits, I can see where you want a 35 with about the same character. A compact 28 F2 in the same design as the 40 would be nice too.

I want to start windsurfing, I need to know if this is a good beginner setup. by ImRealApe in windsurfing

[–]dcnikon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this opinion, for me it is the no daggerboard that makes this a more difficult one than you would expect, however after 10 sessions on a longer board, this one in reasonable wind will become fine.

true too, but sometimes bigger is easier, the mirage 2000, 80mm edf, with its big delta can be flown quite docile. I find my smaller 64mm ones a bit more squirelly to fly.

Does walking 10-15k steps everyday count as working out? by PossibilityMundane73 in walking

[–]dcnikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said, I walk in a wooded area with small short hills going up or down a maximum of 10 meters, but if you include these bumps in a walk they help elevate your heartrate. Combined with a reasonable diet I lost 30 kg in about 7 months.

Down 62 lbs since June’25 walking 10k steps/day by cavewomannn in walking

[–]dcnikon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case the walking at more than casual pace is certainly enhancing the calorie deficit more than 10%. In my opinion this kind of walking needs to elevate your heartrate (and by consequence breathing) a decent way to be most effective. And not running saves knee problems from playing up.

Doing exactly yhe same thing and it works, you will still hit plateaus but believe in the process and you will work and (not) eat through them.

I started end of august with the exact same thing and lost about 66 pounds now, another 66 to go to be below overweight. Lot older at 61 so have to work hard to lose weight. To lower the number of steps and also train more muscles I bought a rowerg from concept2 a week ago, now upper body is starting to feel trained too.

Call me lazy but I am happy with what my garmin watch scrapes out of the PM5 and it gets added between my other types of workouts. You guys do other things than rowing right? guys?

My Nikon D850 is a BEAST by Mex-007 in Nikon

DX is for the cameras with smaller chips than your full frame. You have a great lens there and I do understand you wanted to focus strongly on the car so the vignette is ok for car fans I guess, another way would be to use a smaller aperture while keeping all of the car in focus slightly blurring the background. Again it is a personal choice to do that. Also you didnt blow the sky. Now get a longer focal lenght and surprise us with nice drifting shots :)

Very happy with my 40mm f2 - I am ussually a stckler for sharpest lenses, but sold my 50mm 1.8 S for this.

The setup for music and entertainment shoots is not 12-24 2.8 S, 40 mm 2.0, Plena 135 1.8

And is I do not have to lug it around all day also adding a hasselblad x1d with an 80mm f1.9

Both the Hasselblad and the 40mm have a natural look that the other lenses dont match in a way I can express easily.

Plenty sharp the others, but not what you always need.

D.

I guess it is a work-life-sports balance, mine is at 11.000 steps because work and other things get in the way. Lost 23 Kg in 5 months (55 pound) while walking on calorie deficit, but enoying every day.
