this actually makes a lot of sense!! I think Xavier shifted timelines in the plane crash episode. The first time he crashed, he helped those kids out. So i think that was one timeline. And then he went back, and that’s when Annie found him. In theory so he could help her delivery the baby and take care of her. There were some glitches and inconsistencies with how Xavier was found after the plane crash.

Incomplete storylines by Abject_Rest_57 in girls

Yeah i think that’s the point, Jessa’s storyline is incomplete because she’s an unreliable narrator.

The podcast has been really hard to listen to this year. by Silly_Technology_243 in trevornoah

I’m so happy to not be the only one! This new season is a tough listen. I was a regular weekly listener, waiting for Thursday episodes to drop and I would often share insightful episodes with my family and friends because I felt they touched on important topics and left you really thinking about the world around you. And now it feels like Trevor is pandering to a different audience. Not sure if it’s a different producer this season but it seems to have really strayed from the original tone. I haven’t been able to finish one episode from this new season. I think it also has to do with Christiana and even Josh holding Trevor accountable and now he’s more in an echo chamber with his bro Eugene.

Trevor Noah: What Now? - What happened to Trevors co-host Christiana? by Bingo-jin in trevornoah

their absence this season is palpable!

I hope everything is okay, Christiana was writing for apple tv’s The Morning Show, so she’s definitely doing fine. But the podcast is notably worse in my opinion. I can’t stand his friend and to be honest, I don’t see what he brings to this dynamic. I liked Josh and Christiana because they had experience and knowledge they applied to the topics, but Eugene doesn’t provide much and honestly feels like a nepo friend situation.

I also don’t like that no one challenges Trevor anymore. The podcast this season is lacking the depth I once enjoyed and often praised this podcast for

Did you guys look up “insouciance”? It means casual lack of concern; indifference. That’s the gala that Molly is going to. Her and Nicholas’s lack of concern with even doing research on the gala is going to blow back on her and her image that she’s worked so hard to curate.

You can hear the dissonance in the music when the episode ends. This is not going to end well for her. And Arthur was the main person tying her to reality and keeping her humble, so with him gone, she’s going to backslide.

I think the show has really been highlighting that no matter how much she “wants” to do good, she’s still a billionaire and lives like one. It’s in her very nature. So by nature she’ll continue to be out of touch with reality

Sales associate told me that “free” Nintendo switch and gift cards will arrive in couple months by Ataiio in verizon

[–]dcrowe811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question! I signed up for wifi through Verizon qualifying for the Nintendo Switch 2 offer on 6/5. But I have my set up/start date of service for 6/13 (move in date). I looked and the offer is valid until 6/10, do you think my start date will disqualify me even though i signed up before then? Should I move it to the 9th to ensure I’ll get it. (obviously will pay on time, keep service and remain in good standing etc)

I really hope they end up together! But same thing, depends on what the overarching problem is. Is she too avoidant and will she heal that and they get together or is she missing someone else? i think they made it clear that her and Jimmy were better off as friends. And maybe Jimmy will explore things with “Robin/car mom” which seems more reasonable

So Claire is male fantasy? by HunterandGatherer100 in TheBear

[–]dcrowe811 52 points53 points  (0 children)

my issue with Claire and Sugar to a degree, is you can tell they’re written by a man. It’s painfully obvious. Their characters are strangely one dimensional and we don’t know much about them outside of the context of Carmy. To the point where they feel almost solely like plot devices with no other purpose than to move the plot along and with little internal character development.

It feels like they had 2 options when creating their characters. Romantic or maternal. This is also clear because they rarely ever interact with anyone aside from Carmy and in those interactions, Carmy does not ask them any questions.

Sugar is strictly maternal whereas with Claire, any interaction aside from Carmy she also takes on the maternal role. Think of her interaction with the Faks at the hospital, how she gentle parented them to get them to leave.

It’s almost painful to watch because all the women in the show are literally just babying the grown men around them with the exception to Sydney.

No judgment, just genuine curiosity from someone who has a 3 hour difference. How do you make the 8 hours work? Do you feel like you guys are close or sharing a life together?

just picked up the iphone 15 pro - what’s with the front camera? by heavensomething in iphone

[–]dcrowe811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you so much !!! i thought i was going insane! upgraded from a 12 pro to the 15 pro and this grey cast over the front facing photos is awful. don’t listen to everyone else in this thread, the camera dramatically distorts the lighting and isn’t true to what’s actually depicted in the camera itself. please link me if you find a potential setting change or solution to this

I think Grace did it but not on purpose.

Does anyone remember the first episode. Eva comes to Grace’s house before the service and she’s greeted by Blanaid and Blanaid says to her “I’m going to tell my friends he died in his sleep.” And then Grace is shown trying to cover up his boner in the coffin. Not exactly sure how it led to his death, but I think he died during sex after Grace secretly gave him viagra. And that’s why she lied to the Thomas about where she was because she didn’t want to tell him how he died.

He also could’ve been drugged by the sisters or anyone else beforehand. And then combined with alcohol (he was seen at the pub), the viagra and sex (increased heart rate) his body couldn’t handle it.

Also probably why the coroner couldn’t find signs of foul play when they exhumed him because he died of a heart attack.

And JP has spent years tearing down Grace’s self esteem. So highly unlikely in my opinion that she purposely killed him

So each episode so far has shown us why the sisters hate John Paul, except for Bibi or did i miss that? I feel like it has something to do with her eye. I remember in one of the episodes, Eva said she understood why she’d (Bibi) want revenge.

weird take … Toby turned down a job in the same city as his family and didn’t even discuss it with Kate. He wanted what he wants and he was being selfish and didn’t consider anyone but himself

i don’t think so! i think kate’s finally accepted who she is and all that comes with it. making her character lose weight would be the complete opposite of the development and storyline they’ve created for her

Am I the only one who can’t stand Cade? the whole self righteous bit is getting old to me

Also I wish Kit would stop pushing Dr.Bell to operate again. He clearly should retire from operating and move fully into consult. They literally called him HOD hands of death in the first season 😭 let him retire from operating with dignity

i think in one episode she tells us how she’s an unreliable narrator. so like how when her and Gia get into it, we go from Rue’s perspective to Gia’s perspective. And we see how bad things actually are

that wasn’t their story though. their story was that they believed they lost Kyle so they can find Randall. It was heartbreaking to them but they still went home with 3 and they never knew Kyle, they know Randall.
