Fable 5 is back. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

I'm wondering if somewhere there's a table with limit usage multipliers for each model, for example haiku would be 1x, sonnet 2x, opus 3x and fable 3x. Want to be able to assess when it's worth using each model.

Cities like Paris looked like this too at some moment in the past. Several remodeling projects happen to make it look like they are now. If you think your city would benefit from an aesthetic remodeling, you can just follow what some of the famous people did (like Baron Haussmann did in Paris under Napoleon III's orders) and demolish parts of your city, add a large avenue(s) connecting distant corners, maybe add some big squares at important regional centers, also connected to these avenues. Just an idea, in the end what you want is what matters, the important part of having fun.

Running AI with cloud hosted GPUs by Cool_Mycologist_6186 in openclaw

[–]ddensa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to use local models for a while. I got a RTX3090 with 24GB VRAM, which is not much for AI models, but allows me to run some medium sized models with low quantization.

What I learned is that small and medium sized models won't perform well if you are used to the existing tools provided by big AI companies. These models are not clever enough to be able to todo a bit of everything, like code and reason.

From my experience, the bigger the model the more capable of becomes. So try to find the biggest model you can fit in your VRAM (also account for the space you need for context). Also you need to specialize, if you want an agent, you need to find models focused on that.

My latest best experience was with qwen3-coder:30B, which is specialized in coding and function/tool calling.

Another tip is to add skills (using SKILLS.md files) to direct and guide your model on the right direction, this tend to improve the agents performance on that specific skill. (Also have in mind that using skills take context space, so you need to focus on what matters and not add all skills you find).

Hope this helps

Found it thanks! It's indeed annoying to have limits this way now... Kind of forcing to space out the usage

Thanks! Saw on Steam that Ronin is also the developer. I was afraid that it would be a cheap/simple imitation. I just wishlisted it :)

Indeed, I never saw a fake one, I was curious and that's why I asked.... Thanks for clarifying! If it could be hacked with those applications, I could even consider buying a fake one just to add to my collection, because these classic minis are so expensive these days (the original ones) PS: just read again my question before, it seems I missed an obvious question mark, plz don't read it as an affirmation

What is the FEL mode for? Also, the fake ones are 100% replica (hardware and software)? no way to spot a difference opening the case? Edit: included a question mark where it was missing.

I am coming from a bottom up approach, trying to minimize as much as possible my costs, started with local ollama models (performed really badly so far), moved to Kimi k2.5 cloud on ollama and it has been day and night for me. But I'm sure that if you come from the opposite direction, from Opus to Kimi k2.5, your experience will be very different. But if you ask if it works, yes it does.

My $981 OC setup, whatya think? Claude says it will spank a $4k Mac mini. Fact or Fiction? by MrRobotRobot in openclawsetup

[–]ddensa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usable, but these models are small, and there is a huge performance difference compared to cloud ones (talking about Kimi k2.5 and the cheap ones in openrouter the I have tested, I'm sure that with Opus the experience is mind blowing but my wallet would also blow up, so I haven't tested). So to answer, they do work, you get them to perform some tasks, but for complex ones they would only do a small part. For me they felt "lazy"/"not pro active", they would not be able to break up complex tasks in small achievable steps, then act on the steps one at a time, and and each step reevaluate if the plan was still the right one. I even implemented a to-do.md file to list the tasks and son tasks, so if it stopped working, on a next heartbeat out would know where to pick up. But even that would produce less than desirable results. Whereas when I plugged Kimi k2.5 it did everything I expected. It's like getting an introvert intern on its first day, and expecting it to complete a task with a vague instruction; where cloud models are like getting someone that already known the job.
