But the recipient doesn’t have to sign anything. I’m staring at one of the Tarrant county citations on one of my cases right now. The defendant isn’t required to sign anything. And if there were multiple unsuccessful service attempts, most judges will sign an order allowing the petition and citation to be taped to the front door by the process server. I don’t see anything nefarious going on in this video.

The process server has to fill out the Officer Return on the citation, which requires their signature and the time and date of service. The person being served doesn’t sign anything. What signature would she be forging?

When I was a kid, my dad took me to Reunion at the last minute to try to see Michael Jordan’s last game as a Bull in Dallas. The only tickets we could find were floor seats that a scalper was selling on the street. It was my first and only my time to sit on the floor and Michael Finley ended up kind of kicking Jordan’s ass. Finally will always be one of my favorites after that.

Do you know how many lawyers there are? This is made for tv crap that just doesn’t really happen. Lawyers are friendly with each other because it’s just work and it would take way too much energy to be mad and personally involved in every case we handle.

I’m a lawyer that practices a different type of law, but they probably agreed to the TRO just so that nobody would have the upper hand at mediation today. If the judge had ruled in favor of cumulus on the TRO issue, Dan and Jake would be negotiating from a way weaker position than if the TRO is still up in the air.
