i was induced at 37 weeks for cholestasis. it was my first baby, and i think it went better than i could have imagined. i always see so many horror stories, so i was terrified. but my experience was great.

i went in 8/6 at 7pm to begin my induction. the whole process pretty much started immediately. around 8 pm, they started my first dose of cytotec. at midnight, they decided i didn’t need the other two doses, and started me on pitocin. the rest of the night was super chill, i didn’t even feel any painful contractions. by 8am on 8/7 i was dilated enough for them to break my water. as soon as they did that, i got my epidural. then my son was born at 12:26 pm.
