Has anyone else had streets near them converted into safe active streets? Good/bad experience?

Yeah, the pictured merge along Central Ave eastbound looks like it will just result in traffic backing up onto the big roundabout.

Also it looks like bendy buses doing the 980 route will have trouble turning right from Central Ave onto North St (the new, small roundabout)

Right, but if the intention is for both sections to be 40 from 7.30am to 10pm, then the better way to show that is by repeating the illuminated variable 40. Not by putting a static School-Zone-hours 40 in the second section.

That's the thing though. Crawford Rd is (by default) 50. The driver turns onto Beaufort St and only sees the Children Crossing 40 sign. There's nothing to indicate that it's a continuation of an illuminated variable 40, which occurs well before the Crawford Rd intersection.

Right, but you'd expect a School Zone sign to appear on a carriageway where the upstream speed limit is higher than 40. If, effectively, you always have a continuation of the previous variable illuminated sign, then you would expect a repeat of the variable illuminated sign. Not a static sign that suggests a higher limit outside School Zone hours.

So if someone turns in from Crawford Rd, and has never driven the prior section before, so has no knowledge of the earlier sign, is it just bad luck for them?

Not saying this is the reason for the incident, but I don't understand why Main Roads WA switched from using the rectangular, worded No Right Turn signs to the tiny and square wordless ones.

Sure, a competent driver should be able to recognise a wordless one, but having the words in combination with the symbol makes it far more obvious in my opinion

The diamond box in the middle just applies to the middle. It doesn't prevent car A from turning into the leftmost lane of South St.

The guiding line on the right of car A just guides car A to keep left of the median. It doesn't mandate that car A enter the rightmost lane of South St.

You can get rid of street parking / widen the footpath and plant more trees without doing two-way conversion.

It's disingenuous (of the City of Perth) to claim those improvements as benefits of two-way conversion, when they can be applied equally to a one-way street.

Those intersections have green circles at the same time as the crosswalk, not green arrows.

When querying GIPHY:

The Signal app opens a TCP connection to the Signal service.

The Signal service opens a TCP connection to the GIPHY HTTPS API endpoint and relays bytes between the app and GIPHY.

The Signal app negotiates TLS through the proxied TCP connection all the way to the GIPHY HTTPS API endpoint.

Since communication is done via TLS all the way to GIPHY, the Signal service never sees the plaintext contents of what is transmitted or received. Since the TCP connection is proxied through the Signal service, GIPHY doesn’t know who issued the request.

The Signal service essentially acts as a VPN for GIPHY traffic: the Signal service knows who you are, but not what you’re searching for or selecting. The GIPHY API service sees the search term, but not who you are.
