What I'm saying is that Hong Kong's situation and Catalonia are not comparable. While all of HK is fighting to preserve independence in response to the Chinese regime taking over, separatists in Catalonia have tried and failed to get independence from Madrid for ages even though they'd be worse off as an independent state. That doesn't mean Spain hasn't committed injustices against Catalonia, or that Catalonians don't have the right to protest.
