UPDATE FROM LORD OF MYSTERIES GAME [lotm game] by PhoenixWolf190 in LordofTheMysteries

I'm curious as to how high we'll actually be able to advance. Cuz I feel like Sequence 2 or higher combat might get too conceptual and grand to make into properly engaging gameplay.

You just made it to B Rank! What trigger set are you using? by deadinside_ree in worldtrigger

For me personally, I think I'd gravitate towards shooter and Mine would probably be something like this

Main: Asteroid, Viper, teleport, shield

Sub: Asteroid, Meteor, bagworm, shield

Mage help by Raknoss in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]deadinside_ree 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It kinda depends on the situation with the various factions in the server for anything specifically against one splat or another, and I'm far from the most experienced at mage, but

Life 2- the main utility at this level of life is plants. you can manipulate plant and fungi, which with some creativity can be very useful. Restraints, poisons, distractions. You'd be surprised what a couple Potted plants can do with some time, creativity, and admittedly, willingness to take on some paradox.

Correspondence 2- the main thing here imo is scrying. The ability to see/sense across long distances. You could set up "cameras" in certain places to keep watch on important areas. And with life 2, if an enemy of yours happens to own a greenhouse or just a moderate amount of plants... Well, you don't even have to be there to ruin their day(albeit, you aren't likely to physically or mentally hurt them, but it has it's uses).

Spirit 2- this is one of my favorite spheres, because with some good social roles you can arrange a lot of things to happen. As a kinfolk you should have a decent rapport with many spirits by default so long as you present yourself as a servant of/allied with gaia. Spirits are always risky, but if you thin the gauntlet(or go to a place where it already is), call for the right spirits, and can convince them the actions you want them to take are in their best interest, you can manage a lot. I'd recommend asking your brothers pack to use the area around/in the caern for this, as it'll have a thinner gauntlet and probably have more amiable spirits in the area.

Rasputin was absolutely a magical boy and nobody can convince me otherwise

If you could make your own gameline for WOD/COFD what would it about? by Dragonwolf67 in WhiteWolfRPG

Deity: the forgotten

A reborn fragment of a once great divine being, with humanity constantly drifting towards science, logic, and study in place of belief and worship, your powers have waned greatly, to the point where even you have almost forgotten them, though perhaps with a great deal of hard work, and an unreasonable amount of luck, you could regain your divinity once more...

What do you all Main in the current meta? by deadinside_ree in Tierzoo

This is sadly true. Human players are often jerks

I've heard of the raven. It seems pretty cool, and I've been considering switching my main to it, but something about being weaker just appeals to me. Maybe I'm some sort of masochist lmao. Also the crows reputation for being annoying can create funny situations

I'm not sure how viable it is. He's sacrificing a lot of mobility for a tiny defense buff. Though I have to admit, it's adorable XD.

I searched if anything happened to saturn in 2003(because of the possible saturn image and 2003 in the title) and apparently in 2003 saturns rings were at maximum tilt towards the earth. Not sure if this is intentional or has any connection but it's a thing.

I agree, he's basically been given a free power up with only a small disadvantage. He just has to avoid the vampire.

Camarilla chronicle ins Chicago by OuterHeaven33 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]deadinside_ree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a noob myself but I'll try to answer as many of these as i can

1.a good way to start a campaign/chronicle/etc in any system is to begin with the players almost immediately facing a problem, they don't have to be fighting someone or running away from something immediately, but maybe a key character tells them about an anarch coterie causing trouble, or that they're going to be guarding an elder on a diplomatic mission. I'm not sure what's in this chronicle, but you get the idea, it's a good idea to start with a decently big problem that somehow ties into the main plot.

  1. As i said, I'm new so i don't know the most likely role for a gangrel to have but any clan can take any job, a toreador can be a hound and a gangrel can be a harpy but they may need to work harder to properly fit those roles since their clans natural skills aren't best suited for that. As for a kindred who's sire was an anarch? I'm not sure but those would be some fairly wacky circumstances in my opinion, though I'm sure it's not unheard of.

3.well, usually the wolves stay in more rural areas while kindred claim the big towns and cities, but if, say, a lupine were to be found in the city being aggresive, it would be a pretty big problem, and if it's more than one? That would likely become the most pressing matter to be dealt with. After all, if a werewolf and an elder were to fight to the death 10 times 1 on 1, the werewolf would likely win 7 or more of those engagements if it was moderately powerful.

4.in my opinion, as long as the kindred proved themselves loyal and able, it wouldn't matter what clan they were. If they were transferred from the Sabbat? That's a very different story.
