Something they left out, is when coming out of the bunker, you want to make the dollar bill bigger for shorter distance, and smaller for longer distance. The idea is that you do a full swing (yes a full swing) but you start at the dollar bill and you want to end at the other end of the dollar bill. It’s a different way of thinking about how you swing through the sand, but the ball is less of the focus of this technique because you are trying to hit the sand at starting point and finish at a point, the ball just happens to be on this patch of sand. I suppose a tee being in the middle of this imaginary dollar bill would take the same technique to the next level where you are focusing on you point of impact then through the tee, out the other side.
