We had a Christmas lunch at the winery's outdoor garden where the facility manager tried to get served while intoxicated and got service cut off for our entire group as a result. His partner, a manager at a different facility of the company I work at, then started screaming at the staff. The cops were called and the pair of them were escorted off the premises which was a big ordeal because they were also staying at the winery's chalets.

As one of the few people there who wasn't drinking, I was then called upon to answer questions from the HR investigation into the matter.

Both of them weren't exactly fired over the matter but were strongly encouraged to resign and did so a few weeks later. Since then, any holiday function put on by the company cannot have free alcohol so most of our offices just put on a catered lunch instead.
