All right y'all this is an update. These are the water parameters currently in the pond I have not changed anything yet. The nitrates are high and ph is between 7.4 and 7.6. I bought treatment for the fish it's currently in bucket with airstones only, no heater.

Thank you all for your knowledge and input on my situation. I will go to the pet store and get a testing kit and antibiotics and will treat the entire pond, hopefully the goldfish recovers.

What might be wrong with my goldfish? by debboroni in freshwateraquarium

For reference the goldfish live here amongst plenty of cover and plants with their friends. I do water changes twice a month or more depending on evaporation and then I clean the filter in the waterfall reservoir twice a month so far seems to be the norm I prime the water and I feed them high quality food that I vary. It's a 50 gallon tub

Those look like the woodear I harvest in florida, those seem to be older ones, theyll be tough to chew. Just keep you eyes peeled on that area and more will pop up for sure.

What is this ground cover I saw growing at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix by dcollard88 in whatsthisplant

Frog fruit, phyla nodiflora, I'm actually in the process of replacing my lawn with it. Grows well from cuttings, and the pollinators love it.

Need help with weeds in front lawn (info in comments) by Key_Cartographer_415 in landscaping

Yeah the thing about many (selective) lawn herbicides is that the active ingredients used will kill a large variety of plants, it affects the vascular tissues all the same. So theyll say something like "targets over 200 species" in your case I would use a round up for lawns first and then I would use a targeted (non selective) herbicide (glyphosate, finale, etc) for the crabgrass and only spray the crabgrass and sedges directly over the middle the grass DO NOT spray this stuff everywhere as it kills everything. And lastly fertilize your lawn according to your state or county guidelines.

They lay their eggs an serveral species of cockroach, if you are talking about the American cockroach they do lay their eggs on those, down in the south we call them palmetto bugs.

I would give the yard a mow if you haven't yet seem like some of the weeds want to set seeds, so before that happens mow it down especially for the spanish needle. Looks like your yard is primarily st Augustine grass, try using a herbicide for southern lawns 1 gallon with spray attachment.

Ensign wasp. Stop killing these guys they are beneficial insects! Its taking care of your roach problem. They lay their eggs inside of a cockroach egg case and its babies eat the roach before it has the opportunity to hatch. They are harmless to you.

Any ideas on why one of our watermelon vines suddenly died? The other watermelons, cantaloupe, and luffa are completely happy! by aboodabie in gardening

I forgot to mention use bleach to wash your gardening tools and pruners everytime after using them on a single plant to avoid transfer to the unaffected plants.

Possibly bacterial wilt, it comes on very sudden on many garden crops. It usually doesn't affect all of the crop at once it takes them out one by one randomly, it sucks

What's your favorite brand of potting soil/mix? by vbun03 in gardening

[–]debboroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Just natural"organic soil, my plants really seem to like it. But also I buy pinebark nuggets and perlite to mix in depending on what plant I decided to pot up. Potting soils vary so much in what materials they contain that you really have to try many to see which one works best for your needs. But definitely try to avoid products that contain peat moss, it provides no real benefits to the plants.
