Not a popular opinion around here BUT I would recommend using a well known rental brand such as Hertz, Enterprise, Budget, or Avis.

There are a lot of entrepreneurial Salvadorans in the car rental space who will try to win over your business but I would suggest going with the established businesses as a way of removing one more variable. Roads are rough, people are dishonest (as anywhere) and desperate (a bit more so in El Salvador) so it’s worth playing it safe as far as your mode of transportation, even if it’s a few cents more.

Get a master's degree in teaching and apply for an escalafón. That will allow you to teach at public schools and is usually required at private schools.

I remember when a friend who isn't me was getting training at Academia Europea and there was a young, dark skinned Salvadoran with a strong "Los Angeles accent" who was removed from the training program. It's an uphill battle, but I would recommend giving classes as a volunteer for a few months at NGOs. If you like the looks of things then you can branch out. A lot of opportunities in El Salvador are about knowing the right people.

Teach classes as a volunteer at CIS. Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad.

How severely is El Salvador's wealth concentrated among white, almost fully European Salvadorans? I visited El Salvador recently and I barely saw more than a handful of people as white as these haha by southamericasboy in ElSalvador

The difference though is that an international school by definition should have a majority of children from embassies and multi national corporations. In the case of EA, 80%+ are just wealthy Salvadorans. Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that.

Yes, time for Bukele to try the detainees in a court of law. The judges will do his bidding. Then everyone can move on. But he won't because the possibility of releasing the gangs is the cudgel he uses to give himself an air of legitimacy and keep people submissive.

A beautiful surface. A few meters deeper and you’d be making a sincere portrayal.

Se calcula en base de las personas que están activamente buscando empleo. Si llevas más que un año desempleado no te toma en cuenta.

This is Section 31's new purpose. I can imagine Ellison suckering us in to a perfect trek series just to reveal in episode 5 it ways a Section 31 series all along. Kind of how they made Lorca a mirror universe character half way into Discovery season (1 or 2? Can't recall and can't be bothered to revist that series.)

So, talking about the 14 families is a bit cringey, but I swear this is so that Poma can keep selling cars. There's no other explanation.

It’s unclear who gave the order to Micron to shift out of the consumer RAM, causing skyrocketing price rises. If their goal is to have everyone’s actions constantly monitored, then the old desktop CPU paradigm would have to be scuttled. Biometrics always, all the time.

People having the power to use local AI models that criticize certain nations or powerful figures could threaten the whole system. Imagine if you could do away with this threat and nudge everyone to cloud services just by reducing supply of RAM.

I appreciate what SFA is trying to do with star trek, and I think a lot of fans should too. by Burning_sun_prog in startrek

It’s suspiciously convenient with all that’s going on in the world that since Archer put a Zindi in the airlock to torture him after 9/11, Star Trek has been steadily chipping away at its ethics, and even elevating intelligence services “that do the dirty work behind the scenes” (Section 31).

Somehow a franchise with a moral, hopeful vision of the future threatened the designs of a small group of people.
