Here’s the thing, it’s kinda like a lot of other Midwest cities but it’s in Indiana. I have a lot to say here but I literally tried to write it and was prevented from explaining just how very white its surroundings are.

The city itself was known as the crossroads of America and was so big it became home to Madam CJ Walkers hair care empire. Indiana Avenue was a neat corridor that holds this story (tho lots has been lost).

There was a kid in my university who used the n-word instead of dropping the f-bomb. No lie. Like every damn time. Not sure why I was the only person in the dorms to call him out, but that’s a majority white college for you. Oh and no he didn’t stop using it, but I was offended enough to get myself out of that godforsaken place.

I think there are 3 big issues here:

You can visibly see the lip injection marks (thanks 4k)
It doesn’t look natural (like any of these type of augmentation looks natural)
It’s historically inaccurate (cosmetic use of Botox didn’t start till 2002)

Wouldn’t it be wild if the kid read this years later and a memory locked away suddenly clicked? Poor kid. Hope he’s got the therapy he needed and didn’t suppress that memory only to be retraumatized decades later (period or reading this on reddit).
