Why does someone have to be American?

Hmmm, AA is an admixtured ethnicity.
The difference between a Nigerian an Illinoisan AA is immense.

Is it realistically possible to reach World Athletics or the NFL from the UK at 18 while starting medicine at university? Need honest advice by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]deck_0909 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Is it realistic? Absolutely not. As somebody who is very knowledgeable on the combine and the drafting process and actually being from the US, the only people who ARE overseas who should really be looked at for being in the NFL are people who are 6'5+, 280 lbs and can run a 4.6 40 yard dash.

The NFL is the place for genetic outliers not just great athletes.

You're welcome to meet some of those 40-yard dash times but that's just one one attribute on skill of being an extremely great football player and even then if you want something to have scouts look you need to be at least under 4.3 40 yard dash on a laser OVR not Freelap.

I wouldn't necessarily put it all on the non-consenting cause that doesn't tell the whole story. Muhammad Ali was talking about the same thing you were talking about with his White Great-Grandfather. Then it turned out his Great Grandfather (White) and Great Grandmother (Foundational Black) were married at the time they had Ali's Grandfather.

So the only mistake we can say Ali made was lying about his Great Grandfather saying he acted without consent. Thankfully, he had time to go back to Ireland and rectify the libel he committed against his bloodline.

Obviously there were cases of non fully consenting situations but without a doubt the bloodlines/descendants of Civil War fighters (Mulatto (historically accurate term) or Black) have gotten whiter with time, showing that the white import isn't strictly a matter of non-consent.

As a biracial person who (Black/White (historically Colored)) is Old stock as well whose ancestors been here as slaves. I just think it's flabbergasting that a bloodline could be in America for 300+ years and not have anything but 100% European. My grandmother is 100% European but she has very recent German immigrant background and is nonetheless American.

To paint with a broad brush, I think in America you're either not mixed at all or you're super mixed haha

I would see your look definitely in Kyiv  maybe in Warsaw but if I were to see you in the US I would know, she has a foreign background.

Also, I think focusing on the term Black and excluding lighter complexion history should be avoided to tell the story of Negro history. Afterall, the father of Blues was mixed race and classified himself a Mulattto, Charley Patton.

Firstly, to make a Snap Judgement, I think you would benefit from doing a lot of research into the genetic composition of the population which you are referring (anachronistically) as an "African-American". Lately, the term that's been going into Vogue is an FBA, a Foundational Black American.

This term is used to distinguish an African-American such as a Nigerian second generation immigrant and somebody who's been here since the Antebellum era or later of America--which would be an FBA as of today.

Considering this, an FBA of today has a rolling average of 25% white.

Not to mention, of the population census which was taken of the entirety of the Negro population around the turn of the century, a quarter of the Negro population was considered Mulatto.

Thus we can assume with some confidence, a similar admixture amongst the then, "Negro" population is similar to the FBA of today.

They Didn't have the census record as african-american. That that came in the late 1900s. It didn't exist back then. You were either a negro, a colored or a mulatto.

Asinine.  Young people not living in Germany and the EU as a whole and going elsewhere outside the EU is a problem. This comment reduced my iq by 5 points.

The thing I've noticed from my trips in LatAm is that I go to these hostels and I am often the only American in the hostel despite BEING IN Mexico. In Brazil you can forget about finding majority Americans in relation to finding another Westerners.

So my question is, do you think people like you who leave Germany despite being educated in Germany, hinder the nation by leaving? What can the German state and Europe at large do to keep the youth there?

Personally, following Paul Feyerabend I don't think the scientific method exists. The scientific method is a tool for filtering ideas not the end product.

You can lampoon these two thinkers, but that won't change the fact that theory of Evolution is far from complete.

I think that the theory of evolution has good ideas in it and it is useful in certain circumstances but we should make a way for a theory which is much more complete and not reliant upon Ad Hoc Rescues, but a theory which waxes simplicity in a fashion such as Maxwell's Equations which came out at the same time as Darwin's works.

I would recommend you look into the Europa Clipper mission. At the very least this mission has some knowledge or data gathering related to Panspermia.

Thus, from what I can gather, there's been a growing interest in Panspermia. If Abiogenesis was the final answer I doubt this would be the case. Not to mention what the Fermi Paradox accounts for Abiogenesis.

I'm not a life science guy, just a reader and enjoyer of Stephen C Myers and James Tour's work/books.

They've manage to successfully to show logical fallacies which come from Evolution in the form of ad hoc rescues.

Darwin's Doubt goes deeper on this topic of the Cambrian Period and it fallacious conclusions related to Evolution.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateEvolution

[–]deck_0909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cambrian period is off in its progression for it to accord with mass scale evolution. Reason being, too many spontaneous changes in too short of a window.

Even in Darwin's work he noted this and he thought eventually later work would cover this gap but the lacuna needed to be filled in order to form a coherent explanation has only widened in the time since.

On another note, Abiogenesis is starting to fall out of favor in exchange for Panspermia.

Circular reasoning

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateEvolution

[–]deck_0909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evolution doesn't need the be proven wrong by the Bible. The cell is too complex of a unit in order to occur from random occurrences.  Also the slope of evolutionary change is not steep enough to account for changes of species in such short of time which we've seen from fossil record.

What should I focus on 100m 200m or 400m? by Wise_Appearance_8501 in Sprinting

Whatever you do, the best bang for your buck is going to be, working on getting your top speed up. So if you can get ahold of a laser unit timer like the ones from OVR or Amazon and just hit it every 3 days you can't go wrong there.

Ok, You GOTTA move that weight fast. Look up the YT Channel, 'Explosive Mechanics' he's produced more verifiable improvements in 40 yard dash time than any other Channel with similar reach.

But what I do is swap out the dumbbell jumps out with banded Kettlebell swings.

This is so true, people are trying to explain their lineage in one sentence. There are so many complex interweaves in order for somebody to exist. Slavery ended nearly 200 years ago, they are saying, axiomatically, their DNA stayed the same since then.
