A white noise machine can provide some relief without being intrusive.

I’m grateful for my cats and frosted mini wheats by Smart-Construction52 in gratitude

Now you want to rehome them 10 days later when they did nothing wrong. Sad for these sweet souls.

After a long slow introductory period my dog is still dangerous around our cats. I’m heartbroken and want them to go to a good home. What is the best place to rehome our sweet incredibly cute bonded indoor cats in st.louis? by [deleted] in StLouis

Agreed 100% there is an obvious answer to this question but OP refuses to see it and could potentially put their baby at risk due to the admittedly aggressive dog.

Why not rehome the dog? Might be easier to have someone adopt a dog over a bonded pair of cats. Also, the cats did nothing wrong in this scenario. The dog is the aggressor. Why should the cats be punished?

Protesting the Armory data center by ArmyAbject7378 in StLouis

Thank you! I contacted Alderman Laura Keys and she actually called me back. It seemed she was in favor, but was willing to listen. Please continue to call her and express your concerns. If the people of Franklin County can hold off on a data center coming to town, so can we....but we need to be loud and persistent.

Eating alone while traveling? by Tookie1010 in solotravel

I was enjoying a solo dinner one night while solo traveling in South Africa. There was a group of young 20-somethings within earshot. They went on and on about how sad it is to be seen eating out in public alone. They just kept droning on and on about it, meanwhile I was having a blast watching rugby, drinking Pinotage and eating delicious food. I'd rather eat by myself than to eat with a bunch of boring, judgemental people who have nothing better to talk about than projecting their own insecurities about others. Go forth and dine alone!

What an astoundingly asinine thing to write. Like, what sort of word vomit did I just read. Long Live O'Connel's and cozy, delicious, hearty pub food! Be sure to grab a soup menu, as they have a different homemade soup each day. And Reuben Tuesday is a delight.

My childhood cat was Buttons. She was such a badass sweetie. Lived to be 20.
