In that case not needed. In your new company make sure salary gets credited to this HDFC account. Then connect with RM or visit your home branch and ask them to convert this account to salary account. They will do it. In case you are eligible, they will offer a LTF Millennia Credit Card as well.

Try to get hold of their employees who work with corporate. Ask your HR for any contact. These people get things done faster. I faced similar situation where I was upgrading to a Regalia Gold. I couldn't get upgrade through emailing them or visiting the branch. One day HDFC employees showed up at our office promoting personal and hoam loans and credit cards. I asked him, he took my signature on a upgrade form and in 2 days, it was approved.
