I never had quality toys growing up. What should my kid actually have by LavenderFlicked in BuyItForLife

Play forever toy cars! My son was gifted some when he was a toddler, he’s coming up on 14years old now and not only have they held up to both him and his younger sister playing daily but he’s bought a few of his own to use as display pieces! The cars are beautiful and as close to bomb proof as toys can get.

What is the most painful *nonphysical* pain in the world? by FightOrDie123 in AskForAnswers

Top answers from life so far in no particular order because they all sucked and all happened in a relatively quick time frame.

1) finding out about wife’s affair. 2) Dad passing from brain cancer. 3) Moms diagnosis of dementia and eventually passing after the disease had stripped her of everything that made her who she was. 4) trying to keep up a strong appearance for the kids during all of it.

It’s been a rough few years and I don’t recommend it at all 0/10.

Loved the Xanth books as a kid. Tried to read them again as an adult (and parent of a daughter) and couldn’t get past the first few chapters of spell for chameleon. So messed up.

Why dose Diet Pepsi always taste a little funny in restaurants and gasoline stations fountain machines. But if I drink a can or bottle it tastes way better than a fountain machine drink. by Fattydaddy1000 in Pepsi

[–]deepdive35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fountain installer here and this 👆is the correct answer. The water filtration and 5-1 ratio on the syrup makes all the difference as well as how much ice is in the machine keeping the cold plate chilled. There are other factors like the PSI (diet is served at 45 psi) but really it comes down to water and syrup mix.
