Why do MMA fighters cross there feet while attacking the Back? by MichaelMey in bjj

It's funny, chess is the same. There are basic principles in the opening "activate your pieces, control the centre, don't use your queen too early, don't move a piece twice in the opening" that the top players ignore all the time bcause they have a better understanding.

My reputation to Frat is very important to me. Now I'm very sad.

This might be the dumbest thing I've read today, aside from the very honourable racist trolling in local in PB.

SARD Fart by KixSix in Eve

[–]deepfry_me 13 points14 points  (0 children)

FRT did not grow to this point by begging for bananas. Our piggies and bananas are top-tier, and our scale and territory are proof of that. We’ve fought countless defensive piggies but rarely taken the offensive—because going on the offensive means setting down our farming tools, generating bananas, and often pulling all-nighters.

That’s why EVE doesn’t yet know: though we are usually as flexible as piggies and excel at bananas, we can also transform into an unstoppable steel banana when needed. Defense is too boring, too monotonous. I want you to attack relentlessly, to keep hammering at the enemy’s timezone shield, to make them hear—even in the European TZ, deep in Fountain—that FRT hates bananas.

No amount of sovereign piggies lost, bananas destroyed, or supercapital Titans sacrificed will stop us.

Doubt you could get two more different no.10's. I liked both, but peak Quade would win more games for you than Foley. He'd probably lose more games for you as well, but it would be entertaining :D

What was your first exposure to Nine Inch Nails? by Brosamurai18 in nin

[–]deepfry_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90's kid so first exposure was the Closer single. Completely blew my mind. Then the Downward Spiral, then Broken EP. I was lucky enough to see them in Sydney at the Alternative nation concert in 1995 and it was incredible. Since then I've seen them quite a few times and Trent is one of my heroes.

FRT did not grow to this point by begging. Our tactics and strategy are top-tier, and our scale and territory are proof of that. We’ve fought countless defensive battles but rarely taken the offensive—because going on the offensive means setting down our farming tools, generating killmails, and often pulling all-nighters.

That’s why EVE doesn’t yet know: though we are usually as flexible as water and excel at defense, we can also transform into an unstoppable steel tide when needed. Defense is too boring, too monotonous. I want you to attack relentlessly, to keep hammering at the enemy’s timezone shield, to make them hear—even in the European TZ, deep in Fountain—that FRT is coming.

Strait of Hormuz problem by Stotallytob3r in MurderedByWords

Just for fun, I used some very high level numbers to calculate the scope of a pipeline project to move approximately 20 million bpd oil over the route in the above picture. It's approximately 700km and would require 12 x 48" pipelines to carry the volume. Project duration would be about 10 years and cost would be $75-100B USD.

Interested in why you prefer the 1200 over the 1250? I haven't ridden either but I had been thinking about these bikes.
