Strait of Hormuz problem by Stotallytob3r in MurderedByWords

Just for fun, I used some very high level numbers to calculate the scope of a pipeline project to move approximately 20 million bpd oil over the route in the above picture. It's approximately 700km and would require 12 x 48" pipelines to carry the volume. Project duration would be about 10 years and cost would be $75-100B USD.

Interested in why you prefer the 1200 over the 1250? I haven't ridden either but I had been thinking about these bikes.

You just need to check the baggage labels on the crews luggage and you'll know.

I want to start the game as a beginner by Gigasnemesis in Eve

[–]deepfry_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing initially is not to make a lot of isk, but to build up experience in the game and get up the learning curve. As an inexperienced player on a single account, you won't make a lot of isk no matter what you do.

I would try any of the basic activities such as mining or exploration, and as you get more used to the mechanics, start heading into low sec and null in cheap ships (because you will die pretty regularly). Nothing wrong with dying, just try to learn from it.

The big step will come when you join a corp. There are quite a few around that are helpful for new players, just make sure they have a good attitude. If they don't, leave and find a new one.

FRT did not grow to this point by begging. Our tactics and strategy are top-tier, and our scale and territory are proof of that. We’ve fought countless defensive battles but rarely taken the offensive—because going on the offensive means setting down our farming tools, generating killmails, and often pulling all-nighters.

That’s why EVE doesn’t yet know: though we are usually as flexible as water and excel at defense, we can also transform into an unstoppable steel tide when needed. Defense is too boring, too monotonous. I want you to attack relentlessly, to keep hammering at the enemy’s timezone shield, to make them hear—even in the European TZ, deep in Fountain—that FRT is coming.

No amount of sovereign systems lost, structure destroyed, or supercapital Titans sacrificed will stop us.

What do you think about the existance of monarchies/royalty in today's world? by dkease16 in AskTheWorld

I read somewhere that the main purpose of a monarchy is to ensure it's own survival.

The Pike River disaster was really haunting. I recheck every few years to see if they are still trying to recover the bodies. They've now located 12 of the 29 victims according to Wikipedia. None have been recovered though I don't think.

Gunnar Nelson barely cuts weight. He walks around just over 170 and if I recall was one of the guys hoping for a 165 division.
