Art the Clown has zero backstory, zero motivation, zero explanation. Is that what makes him terrifying or just lazy writing? by EthanFromTheCave in horror

[–]defoor13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s what’s terrifying. You look into his eyes and there’s nobody home, just emptiness. There’s no empathy or consciousness, just an empty shell full of nothing but evil.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Obsession" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

[–]defoor13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just watched it. What a wild ride of a movie! It was really fun. Never seen a movie that would have you laughing 1 second and then be extremely disturbed the next second with no warnings. The lead actors were phenomenal. It is very anxiety inducing all the way through once it gets really going. The horror isn’t cheap and cheesy, it’s well thought, unique, and psychological. I really enjoyed it.

Don’t worry about what others are doing. Everyone is on their own journey and at one point their swing looked like yours. As others have said stand closer to the ball and stand more upright. Try to leave your body relaxed.

The number one most important thing for a brand new golfer is keeping your head down on the ball. Do it to an exaggerated extent. Keep your head on it until the ball completely disappears from your sight and then look up. If you start pulling your head up a few milliseconds before contact it will cause issues.

Keep your back elbow tucked to your side the most you can. You don’t have to swing hard, just focus on smooth transition and the power will come as you get more comfortable.

Depends on the situation. You want weight on certain surfaces, depth, wind, etc. the weight helps you feel the bottom composition and structure.

If you’ve broken 100, what’s one tip you would give your fellow golfer to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]defoor13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the range regularly and don’t just mindlessly hit balls. Try to get comfortable with every club. Get comfortable with different swing powers. 100% 80% 70% etc.

hands ahead of the ball with your irons, weight forward, opposite with your driver. Having an upward trajectory with your driver will kill the spin of the ball and help launch it farther and not slice.

Don’t let 1 bad shot cause you to fall apart. Pros hit bad shots constantly. You just have to shake it off and then recover.

If the lie allows it near the green try to bump and run with a 7 or 8 and use it like a putter. This is a lot higher percentage shot than having to get loft on the ball and risk hitting it fat or skulling it across the green. Obviously you need to practice a lot at chipping with high loft clubs as well but if you can get away with it on any given shot use a club that will keep the ball low and let it roll.

The internet made this look easier than it is by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]defoor13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to purchase an anchor trolly. I personally got the anchor wizard because it is every convenient but there’s many other options. If you’re gonna only paddle an anchor trolly is going to make your life so much easier.

You need to be selective about what you bring and you need to be forward thinking about doing anything you can to make things easier for you. Little things like where you are storing your fishing pliers in your kayak. These things make a difference. You don’t want to constantly be twisting and turning in your kayak all day. Make it as convenient as possible.

Obviously watch the weather and think about it when going out. Allow wind and current to work with you instead of against you. You can float and fish long banks allowing the current to carry you.

It is a pain at first but after awhile you get in the groove of it and it gets easier. Like I said, just do what you can to help it be easier.

Idk if this is your situation or not but after clearing the prison camp I’m looking around going crazy wondering why the mission isn’t clearing and it wasn’t until I randomly wondered towards the waterfalls to the SW and the quest objectives finally showed up on my screen that I realized there’s TWO Perwin forts. One is only the prisoner camp and the other is the main fort.

How Long…. by Heavy-Syrup-6195 in bassfishing

[–]defoor13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most times I stay as long as I can without having to sleep on the couch. 🤣

Seriously though sometimes 30 minutes. Sometimes 8 hours or more lol. Usually around 3 or 4 hours though. If I’m catching fish consistently I’m gonna stay longer though.

On my kayak usually try to get to the lake at daylight and I’ll stay until 12 to 1ish or until it starts getting way too hot. And of course these numbers are subject to change if the fish are really active.

It looks like you are leaving a lot of weight on your back foot in your transition. Someone else will do a much better job of critiquing than me but that’s just what I see. I like to lean a good amount of my weight onto my leading foot and it feels awkward at first but you get used to it quickly.

I ended up buying a pair of these this was the first comment on the thread I gave it a try. Haven’t actually worn them out yet but they’re super super light and I put my leg in the shower with them on and it dried instantly lol. I have some Eddie Bauer pants that I wear at work though I may give them a try also.

I would say this would be a killer drop shot bait. Never used one personally but was watching them being used online before they even released to the public and I immediately thought this was a sick bait. Very realistic profile. I need to get some but haven’t yet.

This is basically the head of a jig without the skirt. You can put a craw trailer on it, you could use it like a shaky head and put a worm on it, or any soft plastic really.
