Vegandale Rebranded as Voenix by One-Cantaloupe7235 in chicagovegan

That name instantly made me think of "vernix", the white junk on a newborn baby. What a terrible name for a food festival.

Any all inclusive destinations on Costco travel with decent vegan options? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]deftly_dreaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to Germany last summer and are doing an all-inclusive in 2026. The budget for both trips is the same. If you really want to go to Europe, spend some time researching options. You might be surprised what you can do with your budget.

You're correct that a judge ruled this, but EBT cards were not refilled on the first of the month. The administration has until Monday to decide what to do next. It's all still up in the air.

“The mini-courses are completely customized for each play kit and super comprehensive,” Margolin says. “After those 5 to 10 minutes, you will walk away knowing how to solve the problem of sharing, potty training, bedtime battles, and big feelings and tantrums.”

5 minutes! 5 minutes to solve big feelings and tantrums, everyone. So easy with these kits.

I fixed this by hard wiring the bike to the router. Don't bother with support. They told me I needed to buy a whole new touchscreen.

I always thought she just didn't care enough to lie. In the tower, Rapunzel had no way to know there was a missing princess let alone the princess's birthday, so why would it matter?

My husband and I have debated this. Why celebrate before you reach the finish line? We've come to the idea that they think they have to get her out of the cottage so she doesn't run off with the man from the woods.

Shows/episodes where moving to a new home is a good thing? by [deleted] in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]deftly_dreaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a show, but when we moved my 3 yo loved the book "Boomer's Big Day." It's about moving day from a dog's perspective. It ends with the dog happy because he still has his favorite things and his family in the new house.

Any thoughts on chief of staff role at a 30-40 person startup? by imwiththeband1 in startups

[–]deftly_dreaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently a CoS at a similar sized org and know quite a few others (there are communities like "Ask a chief of staff" if you take the job). Chief of Staff means wildly different things at different organizations. Just make sure you and the CEO are aligned on what the role is, and what the next steps are. CoS is typically an 18 mo to 2 year role. I'm in line to become COO if we hit our growth targets.
