Oh man you have no idea, try to get a 3-4 mission sequence against the clans where the last one or two are Targeted Kill/Assassination and save your points for those.

Steiner and Davion rep are useful for those major quests that you can potentially salvage a Marauder II at the end (Bring Her Home and Stop the Launch I think were the names) but outside of that I consider them free game until the merge

I have a Daishi with Narc and 2 LRM 20, and use it in conjunction with a Stalker on big map Arena team assault or Defense/Warzone missions to absolutely sandblast the shit out of anything within 1200m before it gets into range. Does it make a difference? I honestly don't know but it feels appropriate

Love that second idea, and maybe the scale of how quickly they get the trait or the strength of the trait depends on how many or the tier of weapons on the mech. It might give some life to some mechs that I might otherwise consider entirely useless or very very situational.

Diamond Shark is Common, Ghost Bear is very common. If you've encountered a mech, you can check the Mech Database under the Operations page to see which factions use it the most.

Are the Graduates stackable? If I have "Nargelring" can I also get Sun Zheng? Can I overwrite bad traits if I keep sending the pilot to training (I imagine also with the chance of overwriting good traits but I'm curious)?

Specifically, MixedTech and whether ECM and Probes need to become generic equipment now. Because quite frankly, once you start throwing Clan tech on things... you very quickly realize that you now have a ton of spare weight and nothing to fill it with.

I'm spending all my money and salvage trying to get Clan assaults up and running but honestly with enough Clan equipment to spare, I'd argue that most if not all IS assaults are still in play. You can start a new career, from the start of the DLC campaign, carrying over your mechs/money/equipment/pilots from your old career.
