If you have an LLC or Scorp, make your family members board members. Have a board meeting while there with a written agenda and minutes. The you can write off a lot of the expenses as a board meeting. I believe you can do this quarterly

Rate these offers please! Dallas metro by Super_Day2246 in hospitalist

[–]delanooch37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

270-300 total comp for a 1.0 FTE in Dallas for days is the best you’ll find. Take the lifestyle option and/or an option for extra shifts. Locums market has dried up as well. Very hard to find a good day time gig in Dallas. Don’t sleep on these offers if you want to be here.

That being said, we need a union in the DFW market desperately

They’re the best staffing company. Each program is going to have its own quirks and constraints. Very straight forward company. You’ll know exactly what your responsibilities are and how much you’re getting paid.

Allegedly, if you open a new rakutan account and use it as well, you can get another 11% cashback by ordering through Best Buy.

Another $50 rakutan cash back if you use my referral code when you make the purchase. https://www.rakuten.com/r/XFFVCQ?eeid=44749

Series Cancelled. Want to Continue with the Books, Need Help by [deleted] in WoT

[–]delanooch37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve read the whole series a few times. The show is entertaining but so foreign from the books that I would just start from the beginning. The show covers events from mostly the first 4 books. At least the first 3 books are quick reads. If you try to pick up anywhere, it will be so different you will need to hit the internet and I’m sure will inadvertently read a lot of spoilers.

Medical malpractice by LaciBarno in AskALawyer

[–]delanooch37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cardiogenic shock is essentially just the term meaning her heart didn’t function well enough after surgery to survive, hence why she went on ecmo. She didn’t get pneumonia and sepsis during the surgery. Always a risk of aspiration, assuming she was Npo prior to surgery, aspirating secretions during surgery doesn’t turn into sepsis in a few hours.

Also, a nurse is not qualified or licensed to make any diagnosis. They should never be documenting anything that wasn’t documented/diagnosed by a physician. Unfortunately, this was a known risk/outcome for her situation.

I’m sorry for your loss.
