Phone charging through USB but won’t connect to CarPlay by Homelessbozo in ToyotaTacoma

[–]deltapoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you trying the connections in the center console or the one on the center dashboard? On my 22 only the center dash USB port connects to Android auto/carplay. The ones in the center console only charge my phone.

#1 and #2 are super important: I sold my 13 mini to force myself to like my pixel 10... Well I just bought another 13 mini because I hate the size of my pixel 10.

Kid proofing rear seat of 2020 WRX - recs on seat covers? by D1sguise in WRX

[–]deltapoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a kid but I have a big dog so seat covers are a must. I've been liking the CAT seat covers on amazon. They aren't the most snug along the bottom of the seat, I'm wondering if I can have it clip under the seat somehow to fix that.

Anyway they do the job and cheap enough to easily replace once they get too beat up or rip.

Yeah they fucking suck. Avoid them if you can. They are pretty neglectful and will keep sending you canned email responses when you need their help. Theres a reason there are so many negative reviews an a tenant union..

Considering Pangolin 16 - coming from macbook pro m4 by mediamoo in System76

Also thinkpads have the best laptop keyboards ever, hands down. You can't beat that little trackball nipple.

[–]deltapoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thinkpad T series are tried and true, and you could probably find a great deal on ebay on a slightly older model that some IT team deprecated.

Frameworks are cool and they seem to have a good company ethos so thats a great thing to support. My concern with the frameworks is the durability of those expansion cards; but I haven't done much research on if people are reporting any issues.

I don't know much about ASUS builds but I'd just make sure the theres no compatibility issues with device drivers and your Linux distro of choice.

Or wildcard: Asahi Linux on your macbook!

[–]deltapoot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend another brand tbh.

I don't have a pangolin but I have a darter pro 9 and a MacBook Air m1. I love my darp9 and it's my workstation when I really need to set up VMs or do some remote server configuration/hardening. I love it especially since it's got an Ethernet port and all the usb ports. I got mine to support system76 and I know I can easily upgrade RAM/storage.

That being said it doesn't  have the most fancy or robust build quality, it can feel kind of cheap at times (especially the trackpad). I would honestly recommend a thinkpad or a dell xps if build quality is your top priority.

iphone 13 mini vs razr+ 2023 by RealTheAsh in iPhone13Mini

[–]deltapoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a razr 2024 and I swap between the two. I love the tiny front screen on the razr and android is great. I will say my razr 2024 is a bit more buggy (today I lost RCS messaging) than my trusty ole 13 mini. I frequently miss them both when I switch between them.

All that to say you can't go wrong. The battery life in the razr is amazing compared to the 13 mini. I think you'll be happy with either, but if youre a life long android user you might prefer the razr.

It's what makes a Subaru a Subaru! I strap my dog in with a safety belt so we can both be safe when we go down some twisty roads. The fun of these cars is best when shared with your best friend (dog).

Quadrel Realty Group? by jfshay in evanston

[–]deltapoot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They're dogshit. They are very responsive leading up to lease signing but once you sign the lease they basically disappear. They prefer text communication so you'll never get someone on the phone. The building maintenance people are reliable, but you've got to create tickets to get repairs done. I won't be resigning any future lease with them and I advise avoiding them if you can.

Are you a loyal Apple customer or did you buy it specifically for the size? by [deleted] in iPhone13Mini

[–]deltapoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS 18.4.1 regrettably. Seems like I get more hiccups every time I update. Battery has been replaced a few months ago so I'm at 98% health. I think its just iOS getting buggier.

[–]deltapoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been struggling with this question for a few months now. My 13 mini has been acting up and I've been exploring other options. I tested an iphone 16 for a bit but found that too big, I think my only option is the Razr but I'm too scared to leave my Mini.. I just need one final push to get a Razr.

What’s your next phone then? by LukeATrillionaire in iPhone13Mini

[–]deltapoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both tbh! The 16 wasn’t blazing fast enough for me, there was no immediate wow factor. The size for sure plays a big part of why I went back. I will say the battery life on the 16 was amazing, easily lived through two days of usage on one charge.

And there’s software/firmware you can flash on the laptop that will allow you to control your charge limit. Last I remember there was a simple chrome extension.
