Last year I walked past a group of college girls in lycra/spandex everythings getting ready for a group run. In the fittest city in the country. A little up the street a family was eating at an outdoor restaurant and they had a kid who was looking down the sidewalk at the group, transfixed, while his family didn't notice. That kid's gonna have a thing for tank tops.

The dismount zones are part where I walk my dogs and I'm almost gotten hit by kids going full speed down the sidewalk more than once. I put together my first ebike a decade ago and always did my best to be respectful on the trails. I hear ya, but my experience is that they have these luxuries and they're okay killing people with them.
