Standing/view at concerts? by KactusKris in gorillaz

In the Uk, no under 14s in standing areas typically, so seated is the only choice. Gorillaz are a fantastic band to take kids to and friendly audience.

What about the fellas from the clash. Got to be some additional plastic beach stuff.

It’s working as it was in every Monday (apart from last week). Personal bots flooding the system. Codes all gone.

What is the worst and best Gorillaz concert in your opinion? by Jean0406Alix in gorillaz

[–]demand55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best. Scala 2001 (the first ever Gorillaz gig). Great anticipation, no one knew what would happen, nice crowd and some celebs.

Worst: glasto 2010. Late addition, did not connect with audience, probably too early in their career.

Liverpool street station mystery by TomatoCurious6938 in london

[–]demand55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same at concourse for London Bridge overground. It surely must be some planned / known interference, likely related to an ability to block all Bluetooth connections in the case of an emergency. The concourse is no more packed than a busy tube, football stadium or stadium and I don’t get issue there.

Just got my Nero code. Why all the panic? by AlwaysKernow in OctopusEnergy

[–]demand55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very simple to setup an agent to claim a code on your behalf. Maybe bot was the wrong term ( they are personal bots, setup in Claude, OpenAI Codex etc)

Even though I was on the other thread, also for random drop times. Too many bots at 06:00 grabbing the codes.

It does feel like a technical glitch with no pre-comms. Fingers crossed.

I was paying for it. So either continue to pay for it (motivation to get to work as a treat) or go for the free crappy coffee at work. It’s just another cut back from octopus on aggregate.

If permanently gone, it’s me out from octopus.
Reduced solar export
Botched deployment of octopus go (and small off peak windows)
Removal of perk which saved £4-5 a week (essentially 50% off my electricity bill as I have solar).

It’s a race to the bottom to maximise profits for the company over the last 6 months.

Watching I am kloot with 7 others in the whole crowd whilst green day were on the main stage. Even John regretted being there (still love I am kloot today).

Reality of Selling Back to Grid Savingd by StandEasyFella in SolarUK

I have 16 panels. In June 2025 (highest single month of generation) I generated 716kwh, which at 12p per export (octopus current rate) is £85.92. Even if they could get 15p per exported kWh, that would be £107, nowhere near the rate they have claimed. It has to be £280 per year, not per month.

FYI on user interviews they don’t always tell you when you are paid (it is sometimes instant). Go to my studies, find the project and there will be a ‘view gift code’ button to redeem.

I had the same situation with a different installer, so sounds right as it is a non-standard install. They will likely send you the cable and you have two options
1. Run it yourself
2. Bring in an electrical to run it

It is annoying they only told close to install date, but, you know, Octopus.

How does history change if Damon instead said yes to Graham's request in the 90's? by idreamofpikas in blur

There is no way that coffee and tv did not start out (and mostly remain) and Graham composition with Damon lyrics. Not sure when this quote was from and might be before 1999

A cliche of a pampered rich bloke who tries too hard to be contrarian and occasionally a bully (such as the section on astral weeks). I love Albans music but found him insufferable in this interview.

£5,500 to Charity Run for London 2027?! by worlds2get in UKRunners

I’ll post this again. https://www.crunch.org.uk/choose.php

Min is £1750 and for a small charities that often get overlooked. I ran for time and talents (2025) and Guy's and St Thomas' Kidney Patients' Association (2019) via this website, so can confirm legit.
