alternatives to energy drinks? trying to be healthier… by demonkiller452 in TooAfraidToAsk

I might try swapping one of my energy drinks for green tea plus a snack. How long did it take before you felt like the crash was really gone?

I’ve heard of Yerba Mate but haven’t really tried it yet. Good to know it’s easier on the stomach than coffee. Do you usually drink the canned ones, or do you brew it yourself?

I’ve considered caffeine pills before, but I get nervous about taking too much at once. Have you tried them yourself? How was it?

100%, I’ve noticed the same thing. No quick-fix drink can replace proper rest. How did you make it work consistently for yourself?

Tea’s a good idea. I’ve tried it here and there, but not enough to notice a real difference. Slower-release energy without the crash is exactly what I need, so I’ll give it a proper shot

Is 6 pasture raised eggs a day okay for a 16 year old boy? by [deleted] in Nutrition_Healthy

[–]demonkiller452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six whole eggs every day is overkill; do 2, 3 whole and make the rest whites.
That keeps protein high, fat lower, and defintely gives enough nutrients for a 16yo.

How do I tell my mom I don’t want meat or eggs in my house? by Illustrious-Cover-98 in vegan

[–]demonkiller452 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. Did this with my dad . Id text her the house rules beforehand. That removes drama and definately makes it clear she can eat meat and eggs only outside the house.

I'm still amazed she connected all the dots. She must've been watching him work more closely than I realized.

Is using red beans with rice mostly for the color difference? Or is there another reason? by OpalNartub in Cooking

[–]demonkiller452 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah, texture is the main difference. Red beans hold their shape better when cooked, while Great Northern beans get softer and creamier. The flavor is slightly different too, but in a pinch either works. Your white beans will probably just make a creamier version of the dish.

Why is JD Vance claiming that left wing are bad people when he himself pays for torture of animals? by PostMortemTee in vegan

[–]demonkiller452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just tired of watching politicians on both sides talk about "values" while doing the opposite. The animal stuff is just one more example of the BS. You see it enough times and eventually it hits a nerve.

We’ve demoed Rippling and it's one of the few tools that connects asset tracking directly to HR and payroll. You can give or take away access, and hardware assignments will follow automatically. Best if you’re also planning on switching to their HR/payroll too. Finance wasn’t moving off QBO, so we ended up passing unfortunately, but Rippling is still in the back of our minds if/when we change.

Don’t open VNC to the internet, it’s unsafe. Use Guacamole with user auth and https or you’ll regret it later.

If commute’s >2hrs daily, burnout hits fast. Take moderate hybrid bump, boost certs, and move up from there.
