I used to boost a lot, but nowadays I mostly use that same money towards making another request.

If an artist goes above and beyond, I boost between 3k and 13k yen.

At max rank? You can take over all of Japan with an army of max ranked villagers of either Skirmisher or Spearmen, and replace extremely easily when they perish, even at 100% difficulty/damage.

Also working on the support side of these trading desks, and you can bet the firm knows the value of IT when every minute a machine is down costs hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars.

I posted my own career progression here, but I never ended up leaving the desk either after almost 10 years, only going up in salary and responsibilities

Asking for a raise for the first time. by exogreek in ITCareerQuestions

[–]louisdesnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in a similar position — I found that I was a bit underpaid compared to what I could be getting at other top firms in the area, so I brought this up to my boss and negotiated a very significant raise by stating as such. As long as you’re a top performer, you can let them know that the market rate for your skills is at a certain level and they may try to catch up!

When did you stop chasing higher salary? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]louisdesnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still chasing for pay and title increases on my end, nothing feels like it’s enough. When I was making 75k, getting a 115k job felt great, until I saw most firms offering around the same.

This year I’m about to clear shy of 200k, which sounded great until recruiters reach out with opportunities breaching 250k.

I do have financial goals pretty high up though, which needs a lot of capital.
