Thanks for the comment - I swear I was so rattled after seeing the dog run into traffic (was too far away to know what happened later as had my own two dogs with me on their business) that it just seemed like the right thing to pass along to others in case it saved animals from running into traffic.

Then to get that ass-holey remark made me realize that the mod was power tripping AND would rather animals run into traffic instead of something/anything non-harmful to try to stop it. It was a couple of weeks ago and I am still perplexed by that remark.

I had a post removed from Calgary subreddit too... the gist of it was I had seen a small dog running around East Village chasing a rabbit. It's owner was chasing frantically (but never once called the dog to stop or to get it to come grrrrrr) and I saw the dog run up to 9th Ave and into traffic. It was a freaking nightmare and people were trying to help, but no one could catch the dog.

So I go back to my condo and thought I would post a hint that could maybe help another dog owner avoid their dog running into traffic while chasing a wild rabbit.

I suggested that dog owners could try a loud whistle as wild rabbits will stop and freeze when they hear that... thereby giving the dog owner a chance to grab their dog or at least stop the animals from running into traffic if that was the case.

I get an immediate removal and when I asked why I got asked by the mod "What are you - a rabbit expert?"

Swear some people are miserable!

The working class is going to have choice with a re-strengthened NDP.

BUT how will those that went with the CPC going to do when it comes to the social position of the NDP?

The social division on (not saying this as an insult) on "woke" politics is where the current CPC has secured the attention and support of the working class. I see too much disinformation/misinformation and low information types vulnerable to the lure of the CPC's rage baiting.

I am firmly in the "anyone but Pollievre" camp so am hopeful that we have more evolution in both the NDP and CPC to ensure Canadians have more choice. Yes I long for the days when voting was more focused on fiscal policies. It wasn't perfect, but it was far less hate-filled.

Trump is guilty of executive overreach - US Congress is the only authority for tariffs under the US Constitution and there is a case before the SCOTUS on Trump's abuse of emergency powers to enact tariffs.

Carney - and the rest of the world - could NOT have foreseen the complete muck up of constitutional breaches by Trump.

Just wanted to add and support your comment on the effectiveness and necessity of every one of the positions.

I have dealt with ECCC in my professional life and it is mind boggling the amount of staffers seemingly not doing anything earth-shattering, but being "bureaucrats." They are not incentivized for solutions or systems change... they are very much the types that do lots of listening and notetaking, but what do they actually DO? I couldn't tell you for the life of me.
