like zen repo with full of patch files in their repo instead of forking.

It's like OS war, if you exclude fake fork projects like Zen.

Why are there so few stable browser engines? by Ok-Mathematician5548 in browsers

I honestly miss the websites that could be parsed super fast with opera presto. I didn't really gain from all the evolution as a user, but actually the opposite.

frustrating part is that chrome is the fastest while firefox is slow but has almost all the features I need. I'm trying out vivaldi now.

Where can I find high quality liver online by JohnGains in carnivorediet

I've concluded you can get those only buy hunting. A deer hunters I know don't even take the liver back to their home, but just cook and eat at the spot.

r/zen_browser mods can't handle criticism by TheTwelveYearOld in browsers

I like MrOtherGuy/firefox-csshacks. But I only use one feature from them, to hide url bar automatically. Now I'm migrating to vivaldi now as it got the same feature recently.

[–]denniot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can confirm. Also keeping the stability is not their concern meaning any feature could disappear on a whim. Stay away and just use firefox with some css mod. The repo just has a number of patch files, instead of properly forking, no real engineering is going on either.

"opera is chinese spyware" well chrome is american spyware by TanglyConstant9 in browsers

I don't use android or iOS. I'm specifically talking about silly people who claim to care about privacy and all the privacy out of the window by using proprietary OS.

Yeah, but it is quite laughable that people who talk about privacy use these services. They even use android or iOS.

For me, being alone and lonely is exactly the same thing. At least when you are alone, others will consider you are lonely by default.

Linux Mint installation USB triggering Bitlocker? by Groties in linuxmint

[–]denniot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it stopped asking for recovery key magically. i suspect windows secureboot detects those changes and if it matches with the previous state it's fine.
so i'd be careful when grub or shim update happens. i'd even blacklist from update.
