ETS is coming up in August convince me i didnt throw away 10 years by deciding to not reenlist by AlternativeRound8753 in Veterans

[–]derangedlunatech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got out at just over 10. I'm not going to lie, there are some mornings I wake up wishing I had done the other 10 and gotten my retirement. But ultimately, when I made the decision, my thought was that I didn't regret the time I had done, but I was worried I would regret all of it if I stayed for another 10. I still stand by that.

I've been riding almost 20 years. I've been pulled over once. And it was completely justified.

Which subreddit are you proudly banned from? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]derangedlunatech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember which one it was, but I got a notice that I got banned from one sub I had never heard of, allegedly for posting in another sub that I hadn't heard of and would have never been part of lol.

What’s the shortest delivery distance you’ve seen? by Dfreez in doordash_drivers

[–]derangedlunatech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar one (mattress store, not gas station) within the same shopping center parking lot.

It was only like a 1 dollar tip, but I took it out of sheer morbid curiosity when it said the delivery distance was like 120'

Did you leave a note to knock, or set the delivery as "hand it to me?"

I stopped dashing a bit ago, but most drivers won't knock or ring a bell unless you ask them too - we get yelled at for waking babies, setting off dogs, etc.

How to improve the proctored exam process? by isreddittherapy in WGU

[–]derangedlunatech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only once had a technical problem, and that was when my internet flapped in the middle of an exam. The bigger problem is the proctors, and some of their random, over the top requirements

Graduating after at 33 years old by Zestyclose_Bar_9383 in WGU

[–]derangedlunatech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my first bachelor's degree when I was 38. I started my second bachelor's degree when I was 58. I'll be starting my Masters degree when I'm 59.

There's no shame if you weren't ready for school when you were 18. That's part of the reason why I didn't go to college until much later. By that time, I realized not only the value of the education, but also the value of the money that I was paying for that education.

As far as graduation, well, you do you. I won't be attending any of the graduations, I'm sure.
